Soooo, 20 years of the Clio....

I mostly like them, much prefer the mk1's though, so much more character & the fact they're really cheap to buy & look after makes them much more appealing to keep & have fun with

Paddy's Valver - Project Leave it the F*ck Alone

More of an ASW post than an update, but an update all the same :D So next week the engine has to come out to be fixed  Unfortunately I now have no protection from darkness & crap weather as I had to abandon the gazebo of love at Santa Pod :( So I got busy with a tape measure in a...

Paddy's Valver - Project Leave it the F*ck Alone

Paddy's Valver - Project Leave it the F*ck Alone

It takes dedication and the knowledge that it's not really that expensive, the only major expense other than buying it was the respray as I haven't got the skills to do that. After the crash I got it fixed & still had a healthy profit left from the insurance payout ;) so that paid for the...

Paddy's Valver - Project Leave it the F*ck Alone

 tell me about it, I only came to yours for 1 part & ended up with a van full of stuff :rasp: Meh, it's easy to sort now 3 hours maybe less to whip the engine out, probably do it quicker next time if there's no filthy 6th formers walkin past my house to stop & chat

Paddy's Valver - Project Leave it the F*ck Alone

Ok it's a shameless copy & paste from my project threads on other forums but I feel it deserves to be shared on here, in full and from the beginning 8) A brief history of the car to begin with. I bought her in February 2007, a bit rough & tatty round the edges but the intention was always...

Last Ace Cafe Meet of the year December 21st 2009

Me & my mate made it down from nottingham in the vee just as a load of mk2 & 3's were leaving :dapprove: the only time the weather caused a problem was after j10 on the M1, most of the carriageway had snow settled on it but 1 junction down it was almost empty & no snow. Traffic coming back...

    New: F7P Turbo Project

Ahh I see what you're doing now, but I've no idea if your other idea with the sensor will work or not :o

    New: F7P Turbo Project

Are you not having an oil pressure gauge? Only ask as the sensor on the back of the block that you're putting a bung in is the pressure sender

    1.8 16v or Williams

Yeah but is the sooooo much more bit worth the financial crippling? Which it what it will come down to for the OP ;) Can you remember that far back in time when you were 19? :rasp:
  24. 16v_paddy

    1.8 16v or Williams

I sort of agree & disagree with you there There is quite a difference between the 2, but for me (at the time of buying) the extra cost to run (ie insurance) in relation to the increase in performance - which lets be honest isn't as vast an improvement as is sometimes made out - was...

    1.8 16v or Williams

I have to concede that the williams is the better car to begin with but I imagine it's gonna come down to insurance cost for you, same as it did for me. When I got my valver I was quoted at £1300 to insure and a williams was £2650 so bit of a no brainer
