You can hunt around and get a good ph1 for less than 3k, with sensible milage, although there isn't much to worry about post 100k.. (as said above..) Spend 2.5k on a good Ph1 then you have a grand left for mods / repairs, as required ! There are way less ph1 sports on the road, so exclusivity...

Can highly recommend the Fuji S5700 bridge. Had one for a year before I decided I should get a real SLR ! Some photos I took with it:

I'm there quite a lot .. Think it's rather nice (much better than the pubs near my house anyway!). I usually end up next to the funky euro'd Lupo in the carpark, owned by one of the bar staff. Got big praise off the guy last time I was there for the Clio :)

Nice !! 10-20mm + cars = awesome photos ! There's a disused Renault 'garage' near me in Dartford (at the Esso on M25 J2 roundabout) where i've been meaning to get some photos for a while. Might have to get my act together haha
