Ph2 lights look superb on the Ph1.. the all red Ph1 lights look awful, apart from when they are on the red/pink cars.
Ph2 bumper on a Ph1 looks awful usually, IMO of course.
Ph1's FTW ! That looks tidy :)
I put Halfords 50% brighter in the dipped beams and 90% in the main beam. Waaaaay more light, and nice white look to them without that awful bouncy xenon look on a lot of new cars :S
I would have put 90's on the dipped, but they are a weird fitment which aren't readily available... (thanks...
Woah ... Must have read through this and got distracted by something like the Gawdamnthatass thread !!
So .. here's some of mine:
(NB: Centre caps now on thanks to Menzies_Clio ;) )
:boring:
2 in the car park, non-sports, sporting CS stickers ..
Black Mk2ph2 - EO52 VMW, and next to that,
Mk1 P19 MBK
Anyone up for a mini-meet in 7oaks Sainsburys ...? I popped in for a few bits, and was very surprised by the amount of pretty girls behind the checkouts !! :approve...
Mine had an issue in the heavy rain where it came in via the ariel hole !!
Sealed it up properly and it's been fine since
Light pops off easily .. remove the surround too...
Ariel is held on with 10mm nut .. undo that and the ariel will be loose. stick a load of silicone, or heavy foam tape...
Home now ... photos look good ! Nice and standard with a nice drop too :)
Only issue I have with the Ph1 is that the 15's look too small when they are a contrasting colour ... disguise it, and it's 100x better IMO !
See here
:approve:
Will check out the photos when I get home .. presume they are on Facebook as I can't see them at work !
Good news on the Ph1 though .. I've had mine for nearly a year and I don't think I've ever seen another on the road (apart from meets and the numpty who made me buy mine who has one) !
Enjoy...
Mine was buggering about like this until it went all out and would not STFU one day !! Ended up changing the relay under the glovebox ( i think its the nearest one to the seat but you can double check by clicking the fob and feeling the relays ) from Renault, i think they were about £1.90...
It does that to show you have less than a gallon (apparently) remaining and you should fill up :)
I think mine's a little pessimistic but then the gauge goes to R not E ! So maybe its a gallon off the reserve.. ?
Not 'arf ... Damn things are everywhere ...!
Even my work car park is starting to look like a Renault dealer. Haven't seen another Ph1 sport on the roads yet
160hp 1.8 VVC K-Series .. but has been slightly fiddled by Dave "DVA Power" Andrews ;)
The ClearKote is wax .. and after a whole day, I had had enough of polishing / rubbing the bas-terding bodywork (and I am almost out of the stuff) to do another layer or three ! haha :o
Erm :S ... you can .. but you'll have to clean it afterwards...!!
Thanks, Captain Obvious :rasp:
It loosens up most of the crappy stuff on there, especially if there's a good layer of wax and co. underneath the dirt... It makes the suds stage a lot easier, and it's just the most fun part...
Cheers all... !
That's the full FIA cage .. it's a bit of a struggle, but getting in one with only the roll bar is a sod as it is !
Yeah - Canon 450d + 10-20mm wide angle lens :)
It won't get much more than a 5 minute snowfoam / rinse / bucket of suds every few weeks for the...
Only joking .. of course you can oogle..!
No before shots .. but it was pretty naff .. lots of flies, tree fall out, and some awful marks from when it was in rehab on the bonnet, and the bumper.
Had a few mins to kill, so got the sponges, fairy liquid and t-cut out.
Bubbles...
