K-tec steath .. de-catted is ok .. quiet when not under load, but nice and loud (and actually sounds pretty damn good) when being nailed !
You can always get a silenced de-cat...
Just start by replacing the relays under the bonnet ! They are #15 each from renault, or #15 for all three, inc. next day delivery from RS-Components...
they are all really exposed and after a few years of that, they get all fluffy and corroded
See my thread for part no's :)
I had a similar problem. Try replacing the relays under the bonnet. £4ish each, from RS components online.

There's also a relay under the dash (presuming your ph2 is the same as the ph1 ?!) which is the closest to the door, and that one is...
"Just passed" + driving like a hooligan = getting pulled faster then you can say "Honestly, Officer, it was only a bit of fun".
Probably best to stick to the 1.2 badges ;)
From what i've seen (i did some research before parting with my cash!) the Sigma seems to be the best of the bunch. Canon one gives very similar pics but for something like twice the price !?
I got mine from Amazon. £400 for the Sigma is a lot of cash but .. what a lens !!
All these taken...
Replaced all 3 relays under the bonnet. One is for fuel pump .. not too sure what the other two do, but after ten years in the outside world, they all looked pretty fluffy and corroded.
Worth replacing, for £10 from RS plus £5 postage ... ordered yesterday afternoon, arrived on door by DHL at...
For sh*ts and giggles, I have cleaned the crank sensor now .. what a sod to get to. Still not arming fuel.
Tried charging battery as it was suggested elsewhere, this could be the problem, but still not doing anything.
Does anyone know exactly where the fuel relay is ?! Why couldnt this have...
Take them off ... see if the wobble is there once it's back to standard. At least that way you know its the new kit and you can ask for a replacement assuming the hubs are all clear / clean / flat !?
If it's still wobbling without the spacers on, then you got an egg shaped wheel
:(
One of the options .. but ..

I think I shall retire until morning. It's getting cold, dinner is in the oven, it's dark, we're wearing sunglasses and it's six hours to .....
Oh wait that's the Blues Brothers :o
I've lost the plot.
I assume so. It all looks / sounds / feels normal... just no fuel
Don't think so, as it would have shown up at some time in the last fortnight ?!
I'm hoping that it's just something stupid like the relay, but there's nothing i can do about that til tomorrow :dapprove:
Inertia switch not active. Tried that (a few times :dapprove: )
TDC got a wiggle for luck but to no avail.
Fuel pump relay, according to that F4R workshop manual .pdf from teh internetz, is next to the immobiliser one ?! swapping them all about achieves the same turning over / not arming...
Last few days, everyone now and again, it will take a couple of attempts to start. This time .. nothing. Had to push / pull/ swear at/ push the damn thing out of the way of the garage so Dad could get the Caterham out.
Engine turns over .. but doesnt fire. Can't hear fuel pump arming...
Could be worth replacing the relay (under the dash on the passenger side) as mine did similar things to this, before going mental and eventually not turning off at all ! Cat 1 alarms are f**king loud.
Think it was about £2 at a car parts place.
You can turbocharge any engine .. if you have enough cash.
Okaaay. That's like painting your living room blue, then painting it green a week later when you remember the sofa's are a different colour. :S
Hey, now now ... mine looks barely a fortnight old:
Lots of things look very dated nowadays. Escort Cosworths, Renault 5GTs, the blonde girl from S Club 7. Thing is I'm sure a ride in any of them would still be on most peoples to-do list.
:o
Polarisers are fantastic on many levels. Cars look great without the reflections .. but they darken blue skies, and bring out clouds which are otherwise not seen by the eye ..

Well worth the cash !
