One of the lads with a DCI from Skegness is thinking about buying some turinis ;)

One of my mates has an Astra van with no cat and the fuel pump on max. Chucks clouds of sut out and hasn't been caught yet :P. the DCI engine won't be as bad but lol police round here don't really care. Yupp not long now ;)

Ghetto decat it and buy a replacement one for mots :P. that's what I'm doing. Just be prepared for lots more smoke and a nice derv gurgle

Yeah prototype the valve blank plates idea first then go more in depth depending on the engines response to it all :)

Nooo it's not hard to get the valve off,had it out already. 3 bolts wonder :) Just on DCI.net people are on about taking the whole thing off completely, basicly deleting the EGR pipe work and re ruining it straight to the mani. Cant see why a blank plate won't work.... I'll take it off...

Might have a slight problem. Looking at that guide on DCI.net it looks like everything has to come off for it. Including valve housing.... :/ need to have a better look into this so nothing goes tits up

Take it aslong as you need it. I have it unplugged ATM anyway. Nothing flagged up yet on the dash

I'll rip the valve out tommorow so you can make a plate from it :). More accurate than me trying to make a sodding template haha

I would go 1500 wet and dry seems as they are small parts tbh. But need a good 2 days to harden up before you attack it with sand paper. All depending on the finish if your happy with it and what not :)

Ste, are mk2 EGR valves a different diameter to a mk3 ?

EGR blank ;) dan ( cotball ) said he will make some when I give Him a template. Ran mine without it ATM and its not made any problem. Power is slightly better!

Looks good mate. Door bullet looks like you could of done a heavier coat of clear so it's a tad more smoother. BUT for a first attempt, that's a pritty decent job there :)

fuel economy i cant really see a drop tbh, and it'll put a little more stress on the pump. baring in mine iv only cranked it up about 4psi +/- smoke out back is a little more black due to no egr valve and when cold seems to chuck more out. still cannot figure out why it hasnt flagged up the...

fuel pump is the standard dci 80 adolphi pump. just cranked the pressure up a turn on the pressure screw insde the pump

mk2's dont have a maf s ensor hence me blanking the valve off. its much more responsive but the diesel sut on full chat is comical until the temp is up to mis. odly enough, i have no eml light flag up with it not connected anymore....

cant you re skin them in 2x2 carbon sheet?

lots of diesel sut around our area! i have me EGR blanked off and the turbo waste gate on near full. just chucks it out like noone's buisness, HP fuel pump might get cranked up aswell :P i have the confidence to wet sand my car, just not the balls to mop it back, still thinking wether a DA...
