Welcome to the club :)
Car looks lovely and a very good spec already. Have a poke around the forum, plenty of threads and projects focused on track cars and days. Feel free to PM one of the mod team if you have any questions.
Game on. Hopefully insurance will settle soon and I'll get my Xbox One sorted. You may need to put up with me being a newb for a bit.
You'll need to PM me your gamer tag :)
I'm going f**king insane here. Was a huge Halo fanboy at Uni and I want to be on this playing away. But no, my insurers are absolute cretins. Everytime I come in this thread it kills me :(
When I am back up and running, up for some CS Team multiplayer @Gorms and @banther? :)
The only person I know who is planning racing competitively in a turbo'd clio is BIGASH. He currently runs an N/A racer along with a few others on here.
I don't know anyone who has actually raced one yet though.
Not entirely true. The rotrex is the only easy fit option, and in many cases can be cheaper than a turbo. The only reason they can become expensive is if the Rotrex fails. You can't rebuild a rotrex, whereas you can a turbo unit. Reliability is fine if looked after like most things. @WillyWonka...
Keep it for when it breaks next time. It's french
Joking aside, you could sell it on here. But, only you know how comfortable you are doing stuff / have the time / space etc. The less hassle option is get a trader to do it, but it's also the most costly.
I agree, better to take your time. OP - this is where my 'consider the wider bits' comment came in. For example, if it is a track car, I'd take the aircon out in its entirety, but it means you'll need to go to a Cup alternator setup, which will need to be sourced.
I did an engine swap in mine last winter for exactly the same reasons. It may be worth having a look through my project thread as there are detailed photos in there as to what is needed when doing a full engine swap. As said above, it will be costly if you aren't able to do the majority of the...
I only know of KJ Wrappers in Thatcham. I have no experience with them, and don't know anyone who does though, so I can't vouch for whether they are good or not:

Agreed mate, I have got my jack, crane, leveller and stand from them and all have been high quality, at decent prices and delivered exactly when they said they would. Can't recommend enough to be honest. :)
@Tony Hunter - ORLY. Thanks for the kind offer, can discuss at Cadwell :)
Bit of a boring update I'm afraid. Spent some time today in the garage waiting for the loss adjuster from insurance to come around and attempt to mug me off :(
So, swapped the wheels back to the winter set (aka standard 16" alloys with Pirelli P Zeros). Whilst I swapped them over, I had a good...
Whilst I agree with Hardknott pass, you will ground out in quite a few places in the V, especially on the apex / turn of some of the hairpins......so I wouldn't be taking them at high speed ;)
