Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Cheers Dan. I must admit, it was a huge benefit finding a house we liked where someone had already built a decent sized mancave.
Yep, i'm looking into how to construct a decent solid work bench in that corner at the moment actually :) A bearing press...
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
So, I got both front wheel bearings done, and swapped out the DS3000s for the DS2500s and also replaced the front discs with a new set of Brembo HCs. The car feels 'tighter' than ever, as it has effectively had all of the front end suspension / bearings...
Good progress indeed. Looks great.
Whereabouts in Northampton are you? I was born there, and my family are all still up there, so you may see the flamer round those parts at some point :)
Scrounging? You belter, we don't take 10x of everything Braincell. We divvy it up. Else, you can't take everything you need. And yep, Sunday is on. Just awaiting time from Tim. to be at his. :)
It was a unicorn.
Main thing is, neither you or anyone else is seriously hurt.
You won't enjoy your insurance premiums for the near future unfortunately :(
Whilst I agree with people potentially toning down some of their 'anger' (it is a car after all), I don't agree with your second statement. He posted on a forum, which in turn is asking for opinion. You should be able to post your opinion whether it is good or bad.
Personally, I'm not a big...
Mine is aswell, as per the PM bud. I've found then faultless to date, and thoroughly recommend them.
Should have popped down the unit when I was there, you could have taken it out. :)
Good to meet you chap, was a good day.
I feel like I've had a chemical face peel from all the fuel / oil mix. We're going back over there tomorrow - nice photos :)
DTM are a trader on here, with a very good reputation from what I hear. This is their trader section;

Lovely looking Evo.
I'm not a big fan of the carbon or the pink I am afraid.
I'm interested to know if you will be declaring the extensive rebuild to a future buyer, given it was effectively a write off.
I always laugh at people who associate 'success' with what you drive. I expected you to have a slightly broader outlook on life Munson. Clearly not.
In answer to the OP, bought it as a track day project.
