The easiest way to sort removal of the ABS is to swap the MC, brake lines with the Cup setup and put in the Cup bias valve.
Basically source a cup setup and swap it all over. That is what I did on mine, along with removing the ABS module / pump and relevant loom. It triggers the light on the...
Yay! Back on the road.
Looks good on the Oz.
You should be bringing it to the unit to wind Rob up. :)
And it would be good to catch up of course, Mush. x
It isn't a 911 Turbo.
Just a 911. They only made 14 Turbo Convertibles in 993 guise as a one off, so they are very rare, and they had the wing of the 964 turbo iirc.
Still driven like a complete wrister though.
Best way to check them is put the handbrake on, then keep finding the biting point and making the car strain slightly against the brake, without moving.
If the knocking occurs, keep doing it and get a friend to listen to see which side / where it is occurring. Also, pop the bonnet and get the...
Ooh. Didn't realise you'd ITB'd! Nice :)
I've gone to the dark side and will be charging mine at some point :)
Not sure on the tagging. I always goof it up!
Nope, it's having the bearings done (I'd have done them myself but I'm crazy busy at work), new discs and swapping the ds3000s for ds2500s due to squeal.
Then re-aligned. I'm losing some weight and not going to get it comer weighted until then!
What have you had done to yours? ITBs?
I use J-tech automotive Martin, luckily just around the corner for me, but a bit further for you. Top guys and incredibly knowledgable. Can do full corner weighting etc.
Jamie (the owner) trained with Ohlins, and their competition heritage speak for itself. They are AST suppliers aswell...
This. Dead ECU means you should replace it with a new aftermarket one and a whopping great Turbo. That is my man logic. :o
Keep the faith Dawn, just make sure you're monitoring here / PH / Autotrader almost constantly. :)
Looks great! :) With the exception of the steering wheel. I'd get a racing / sports one if it was me. Looks a bit out of place with the hardcore dash / cage.
I like those pedals. Lol!
Check the aux belt is on the right way. If it's on the wrong way (very easy mistake to make) it can run on the plastic housing on that side of the engine.
Check my project thread as we made that mistake on mine, but noticed before we fired it up.
I have found my Bilsteins excellent, done a fair few miles now and they have been great on road and track. To give you an idea of ride height and them working hard on track a couple of photos;
I have heard the BCs are very good, but never been in a car with them, so can't comment on that...
