Yep, go over the bridge. Left, then right and then left again.
After half a mile, turn back and go right then left.
Gandalf is tall and has a stick. He'll meet you there halfling.
Of course you can mate. It makes a more noticeable difference on track against non-diffed cars but you'll see the difference pushing hard on the road aswell.
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Cheers Chip-mk1 and Matt_90, but it's pretty much cost which is prohibitive at the moment. Just want to get it back on the road in standard format, and then look at a few bits when I do supercharge it.
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Probably source most of it myself.
I did look at the k-tec kit, but given their treatment / attitude towards me i'd rather not line their pockets any further.
Dan - thanks for advising on RS tuning selling them, i'll look into that.
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Cheers Alex, i'll have a think. I don't want to mess with the electrics too much before going to standalone management with the charger.
Bobby - thanks for the advice, i'll definitely be doing this if its only £30 or so. :)
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Just seen this James mate, cheers. How much is a keywayed crank and what are the benefits? I'm getting rid of the aircon, but i was trying to avoid ripping the loom out / swapping it from a cost perspective :(
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Cheers Joe. Yep, as Tony said, if used correctly it should be fine. Dan@SJM may correct me, but from talking to Mike Woodford I should be hoping for 280-300 bhp on all standard parts incl. clutch and transmission.
That is what is steering me towards...
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
So, after some lack of picture criticism, here is another update :)
Still looks like this :(
The box is at Gripper having the LSD sorted. @Dan@SJM has kindly agreed to come over in early Feb when the box is back to compression test the engine and run...
Mine did similar and it was a failed Injector 4. I wouldn't keep driving it around as if one cylinder is being starved of fuel you are likely to be creating bigger problems.
Have you anyone local who can pop around to plug / play injectors to see if one is a problem?
Shoulders were too high.
Whether it effected safety or not, I don't know. But it wasn't comfortable! I did 7hrs to Le Mans, then 7 hrs back in the Sparcos last year and I couldn't fault them.
Fletch is bang on.
Then I'd swap the steering wheel for a 330mm or 300 one (permanent swap for an OMP Trecento or Sabelt jobbie) and get a set of light wheels (15" oz F1's) with some decent tyres (Yoko ADO8s or Toyo 888's etc), up the discs to Brembo HC with decent brake fluid and decent pads...
