Yep, Quaiffe is fit and forget. It doesn't have all the performance benefits of the Gripper, but its miles ahead of no diff.
Gripper needs to come out periodically for maintenance. So that's full box out and sent off to Gripper. Not ideal if you're not handy with the spanners yourself...
It's quite 'clunky' at full lock and low speeds. But you get used to it.
If you're doing quite a few miles and its a daily, a quaiffe may be better. It's not as good as the gripper, but it doesn't need regular maintenance.
Love it. I also love how it looks better on the standards than the F1s. Any other Clio colour and that wouldn't be the case.
I also love you ploughing money into it to get it improved. Good work, and an ethos I fully support :)
Guys, can I ask those who have had issues with the 438 / mapping package from k-tec contact Sean. I know of 4 (mine, Kyles, Ellen's and Tommy G). Any others, please contact Sean.
I just spoke with him. I'll update this thread further when I can.
Oops.
Advise them of your position in life and that you are elderly and infirm, and this is the first time you've had these kind of problems on your motability scooter. You never have bad service from Stannah, so why should they be any different.
Rob - your idea of putting a sticky somewhere would be useful. I'm not going to add my experience / views until I have got all of the information I need, so to avoid me writing an identical thread in two months or so, I'd suggest keeping one open / trimmed down / stickied etc.
Afraid I can't do the RS Tuner read this wkd now bud. Can do it one evening next week, let me know.
Did you unplug the injectors one by one, as Mike said?
