Depends on the model (how much metal and what grade the metal is). Not sure how heavy mine is if I'm honest. Less than rear seats though!

Mine (non safety devices) the door bars can be bolted in and out.

I use mine pretty regularly (full cage), doesn't bother me at all. As a second car alongside a cayman, I'd do it. Just use the cayman for comfort.

15mm Eibachs Hubcentric all round bud, on Bilstein B14 coilovers. Doesn't rub at all. Love the van!

Cheers! That is Chippens old one. From memory it rubs slightly, but was running 25mm on front and 20mm on rear. It's on springs.

For road use, very little noticeable difference I'd say. If anything it will handle better, not worse! I have 15mm on mine all round and imo it handles pretty well (may be the coilovers, rarb and cage though) ;);
