Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
Further progress made last night. Thanks to Chip-mk1 who came over to remove the 438 cams and kindly educate me further! Was good to catch up mate, shame we were so late we couldn't get some proper fodder in.
Overall I am still revelling in being able to work on...
iOllieSM - PM me tomorrow to remind me and I'll nip out and take some photos of the shocks so you can check they're ok. Then we'll sort a time and do the map aswell.
Nope. My replacement one is on the engine stand. Old one is still in the car....but has ancillary bits missing (inlet manifold etc etc). Sorry to clutter the thread Herbertez!
I have a set of rear shocks you can have for free. They don't have the dust guard on them, as I gave those to Dr Jekyll, but you can take the guards of your old set and and swap them over.
What this man says. A touch more subtlety and that will be lovely. Spoiler lets it down for me I'm afraid. I like the bonnet scoop though! Welcome by the way :)
Please, please, please say it's not the weekend of Le Mans. I haven't made a single CS Saturday yet :(
This one, with the full weekend of camping shenanigans sounds too good to miss :)
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
Borstii - that was my fear. Thankfully I escaped that bit of s**t luck.
Daniel - lol, hadn't noticed, mrs would kill me! :)
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
Cheers all :) I plan to spend most of my Sunday in the man cave.
TimR26, cheers for the offer, today is mostly painting which is pretty much a one man job. But...I am hoping to put aero catches on it which I will require assistance from you and Christopher. :) x
