Lol at the hand holding. :)
They are 438s, and the flamer is destined for a forged engine rebuild with either ITBs (so I'd need lairy cams ideally) or a turbo. The 438s are strong road / track cams, but I could sacrifice some road comfort / idle in the future as the flamer will mostly be a...
Lol - you vultures! I said 'if' I needed to sell it. Luckily, I don't.
Truth is though, with cage, seats, cams, gripper diff'd box, bilsteins, whiteline, Induction Kit, trophy spoiler etc, I'd probably make double what I'd make if I broke it compared to selling it with it all in. Sad, but...
Simple economics, if it is worth more in bits, people will take it apart so it is in bits. Personally, I love my flamer and have put a lot of time, effort and money into it. But if I needed to sell it, it would be in bits in 3 days.
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Dave the Ricer. Find another way home pizza boy!
This one isn't going to be lived down for a while, trust me David. As you can tell, I no like the wheels. :)
Thank f**k for that. Those who created and maintained the 'joke' - we have your names, you're going on Mr Cubs 'I don't like list' :)
Rob, please administer points at your earliest convenience to our Scottish comedian contingent.
Lol, a good start from Boberto. I forecast Mikes will be special. He looks 'special' just being him, let alone in a convertible. I want DK to be warp factor 12 in his, so it looks like his face is being peeled off.
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
Lol - they were a b**ch to sort, thanks for your help with those bud. Depends on the house move, but I'm hoping new engine will be built and in around Nov time. You paid for the next Llandow yet? I see you've been acquiring a few goodies for yours ;) Flamers FTW.
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
FLOL!
Chip & Rob - great idea, I'll let you work up a prototype I'm happy to test!
Ryan - I'm happy to stay behind you, watch and listen to the V6 warbling away all day long ;)
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
Lol, all the running costs of a BMW, without the rwd perks :)
Yeah, it doesn't use too much on the m/way - seems to really drink it on track when its constantly 'on cam' and under constant high rpm and hard use. Doesn't surprise me.
I reckon a 5l bottle will get...
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
I get AA free through work, but it doesn't include european cover sadly. I'll do some investigating, but I will definately need some cover as I doubt colsheface would be happy driving across the channel to pick me up in his truck.
Just done some searching, your initials must be popular - no prefix plates available :(
250 ROB is coming up for £1900. Perfect, sell the Z4, buy a fezza 250 GTO - sorted.
Or.....sell the Z4, build a 250bhp PH1....now there's an idea :)
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
Thats good, as if I time it right (just before Le Mans) it gives me time to get to the ring next year before it expires. Result.
Whats your birthdate and initials mate?
My grandparents got me mine (N6 OKC) as its my birthday (November 6th) and my initials.
But you'd suit B311DER much better I suppose :)
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
Small update. Flamer is still doing its best 'oil burner' impression. Because of this, i'm not using it that much due to having to keep buying oil. I did go for a b-road blast over the weekend which made me remember how much I love it, and i'm still taking it to Le...
