Another Le Mans CSer here, but don't worry I know you'll never be able to cater for all. Sure it will be a great day, location is awesome. I'm just gutted I'll miss it. Oh well, just have to wait to next year :)
Lol. I know they're different tyres, but all of them are a blend between road legal and strong performance when on track. Just some are more to one end of the scale (road), others to the other end (track). Which unless I'm mistaken is what the OP asked. And yes, the Direzzas were in reference to...
No worries Mike, i didn't really help much, and I had the chance to exercise the inner gypsy in me by salvaging a few clio parts headed for the tip ;) Was good to go for a beer and meet 'layer cake bob' as I shall now refer to him. Watching him try to lift the saxo engine as hungover as he was...
This. It's Ute time my friend :)
If you must, then Glanza. I had a play with a tuned one and it had plenty of shove on the straights. Lost out to the clio on some of the corners though. NZ have it so right on 3rd Party being covered under tax. I would rather pay more tax and know everyone on...
Good to see you earlier mate, cheers for the advice and I'll keep you posted on the trackdays I'm eyeing up. Hope the boot carpet and parcel shelf help :)
i'll bring whatever interior spares I have to Mikes tomorrow and you can grab them off him when you see him next.
Lol - just saw Nick, he just picked them up. That will f**k him off as it would have saved him the trip. Was good to catch up with him though.
Flamer only needs a diagnosis, and a general sniff about. Want to remove fogs and liners at some point but its not urgent. Priority needs to be 'ze...
How have I missed this thread. Great work, glad you got it Mike. Looks awesome. I await the end result, better make an appearance at Le Mans. I may have to pop over in the next few weeks to have a poke around it before work commences. I also have some small clio jobs for beer tokens when you're...
This has turned into a festival of fun. I personally think the more products (or combination of products) on the market that offer valid gains when tuning an f4r is good news to all of us. So, I'm chuffed to bits Dan has achieved this result in his. I went for cams because I was changing my...
Nicks post above is pretty much bang on mate. I'm putting AD08s on mine, other options are r888s, Federal RSRs (some have had disentegration problems with these), Dunlop Direzzas.
Get brake discs from G172 on here (that's his username). Pads, I get mine from k-tec.
Tyre wise - do you want out and out track day tyres or a good road tyre that will see one or two track days?
Looks good.
Great work - congrats Dan! Always nice to see good trials and mix of mods put together and actually deliver a strong end result in the F4r, which is not always the case :)
Cheers mate, appreciate the offer. Fingers crossed all the parts of the 'completion puzzle' come at the right time and without any other unforeseen issues. :)
