I'm keen on a regular monthly one aswell, the last one I went to was great to meet various people, including Tim (Atouba) and Chip lol ;). The only issue with this one, is my car may not be back from the bodyshop. But...if not, I shall turn up in my loan car beast. The humble 107. The Clio's...
It's a shame it isn't going to make it to Llandow, I was looking forward to seeing it Chip. Porkie cements his 'Hero' status above ^^^^. legend. Take the exige! Shame you aren't going Porkie and bringing your Westfield, I really want to see that in action at some point as well (and meet you, but...
Sorry to see this mate. Having driven through Basingstoke a lot I can vouch for you in being totally in the right. Don't settle 50/50, fight if you must. Hope it isn't written off.
FLOL. Nothing more to add. Sums it up nicely.
In fact, let her see this thread, then she will know it's not just 'you being difficult'. She will realise the whole world thinks it is a gash idea.
Be good to meet you too. He thinks he will be slower than me, I'm not so sure. Should be fun anyway, we aren't that bothered about the times in honesty, just going for the craic. Hopefully I won't break my flamer, costing me a fortune at the mo. :(
Cheers Russ, I'll see you at Llandow, looking forward to it.
4 speed box, completely stock gearing, stock tyres. In fact, completely stock full stop. It's epic, a timeless piece of 60's American muscle. We're going head to head, which quite frankly will look hilarious. Tiny French fwd hatch vs...
I'm off on Sunday to my first 'RWYB' at 'the pod'. I'm running the flamer which has circa 197 bhp (cams, induction, exhaust, plenty of mapping), Gripper Diff, lowered on Bilsteins but other than that stock. Not stripped. So, for a purely average driver (I.e. me) what time can I expect. Place...
Gutting mate, really sorry to hear this. I'd look on the bright side though, if you are getting a new engine dropped in, go the whole hog and put 438's in it at the same time.
I spent 2700 getting mine in April last year, and it's a great one. It's a flame red 172 02 plate on 67k when I bought it. I'd expect prices to have dropped by now. Check my project thread if you want. Can be done, just need to keep hunting, cast the net wide and be prepared to travel / act...
The amount of money the flamer is costing me means it will be a car for life! Or at least until it dies! :)
Crazy list though Dan - but reflects how addictive ownership of a good car can be!
FLOL - owner puts; 'No Test Pilots'. Obviously thinks people will turn up just to drive it and not buy it. What planet are they on then? No one in their right mind will turn up to see this, let alone drive it, and god forbid anyone who buys it. Madness.
There should be a little flap on the left of the engine cover giving you access to the oil filler cap. Its got a little finger shaped cut out to pull on.
I'm hoping to unlock the cash for ITB's to go with the 438's later this year, but I suspect someone else will have put the two together before then. I'll post results when I do get the trumpets on mine though. You'll see mine with just the cams at Llandow mate.
I wouldn't mind having a look at...
Hello chap, I do know some of the figures before;
Tank - had an RS2 on it before and was running 187bhp & 154 lb ft, the RS2 came out and he put 438's and the k-tec induction kit in, making 203bhp & 166 lb ft. Thread here mate...
