Perhaps you could re-consider the price so that it was economically viable (you do run a business after-all) but still a good saving on the normal deal ... that would be better than potentially not doing it at all :)
My opinion with French cars is that 'if its still rattling, it hasnt fallen off yet' which is a good thing :)
Tbh, my cup doesnt rattle much on 72k, its the blooming Pioneer cd player that needs to be filled with cotton wool to stop it buzzing :S
I have a 172 cup and use:
Front - Brembo HC, DS2500
Rear - standard
Also have Goodridge braided lines with Castrol Response Super Dot 4 fluid. 5.1 is too extreme for me as it needs to be changed very often due to water absorbtion.
Very good kit (survived 11 laps of the ring quite happily)...
Picked the seats up tonight and they have literally have never been sat in lol, the ladies son bought them for his 3 series, then emmigrated to the sunshine of Australia ... mucho mintness. Also have the optional pump-up lumbar support! Oh and the small matter of some 3 series subframes lol -...
Had a little problem on the M4 earlier on, stuck in traffic for about half an hour and the revs drop suddenly and the car stalls. Wouldnt re-start and so had to push it onto the hard shoulder-from the outside lane, up a hill!
Engine was turning over fine, but simply wouldnt catch ... ended up...
Heres a thought, insurance companies always bang on about declaring new modifications, etc (as does everyone on here), even down to things like DS2500, Brembo HC's and braided lines - that look exactly the same as the originals & could quite easily be fitted perfectly innocently as like for like...
You love it lol :rasp:
Re: the AST's, waay too expensive for a car worth less than £4k lol, better off buying an evo and spending a grand on fuel tbh.
Been contemplating selling up and getting something else this week, ie test drove an FN2 CTR on Sat, but thinking im too attached to the...
TomTom one Europe, v cheap and has navigated me around Europe numerous times perfectly, ie 4 weeks through France, Spain & Italy earlier on this year ...
Just a little overview of my cups life so far, not as modified as most peoples on here tbh, but probably used far more!!
Picked up from Martins Renault, Basingstoke on 12th Feb 2008, with 52k on the clock. Somehow managed to get the price down to £4,995 inc. 2 new tyres, aux belt change...
Umm, i have a cup  im a huge fan of Evo's, a friend has a 400bhp FQ300, slightly lowered on 18" Turinis and its stunning ... maybe its because ive never been into bodywork, would rather make it go faster ;) Cut slicks are what you need, trust me -
Ring + FQ300 + Pilot Sport Cups +...
I can understand why you'd want rid of the RS6 as it was an Audi from the 'lack of any feedback whatsoever' generation ... but unless your doing some heavy 're-standardising' of that Evos bodywork, i cant understand why you'd want to drive something that, in that guise, looks like a chavs wet...
Why not save the money from the re-furb, sell the turbines and buy some coilovers instead of springs then :rasp: tbh i prefer them when they look totally standard, like mine :)
About the only time i put my foot down through 2nd and 3rd is joining mways on the sliproads these days lol ... too many blooming mobile cameravans around these days to have any fun. My 3 points were at 10pm on a Friday night from a 50mph dual carriageway cashvan :(
lol
Yes, easily in fact.
Between Oct 07 and Feb 08 i did 13k in my 206 hdi, between Feb 08 and Oct 08 this year i have done 20k in my cup.
So thats 33k in a year, in 2 french 5h1tboxes :rasp: i generally average about 2500 miles a month ...
Hmmm, that would suggest that Highsports would be pants on the 'ring, which is essentially the only track i drive on at the mo .... that, combined with the fact i do 30k a year, may suggest i need to spend the extra
