According to Renaultsport themselves, it's there to limit induction noise for EU noise regs. The flap seems to open at 4.5-5k rpm, you then seem to get the '5k kick' .... with a flap closed in an air feed you will get less air. Common sense dictates that if a flap is open and you are getting...

172 Cup for me. I used to have a 182 FF and i prefer the raw nature of the cup i have now. Any monkey can get in a FF and drive it quick - it takes a certain extra degree of skill to drive a cup fast, it has no electronic nannies to help you out and in that respect takes longer to learn and...

I have Pzeros on my cup and they are awful, really slippery if there is any hint of damp on the road. A cup shouldnt spin its wheels in 3rd for gods sake ...... Will be getting Contisports on asap - i have used them on all my previous cars and been very happy with them :)

Number plate. Samco bend doesnt make it go any faster ... No. plate you can keep for ever :)

Lets just say that i just paid £4900 for a '53 plate cup (with 50k) from a Renault dealer with 12 months warranty, MOT, tax and new discs/pads all round. lol you can buy it for £7200 if you like :rasp:

Heres a better idea, pay cash, but tell them that instead of taking the 0% finance you want to pay the invoice value that they would have sold it to the finance company for. This will be approx. 15% less than the original cost :) These types of deals are brilliant for people who have cash...

The cheap one is up North - everything is cheaper up there as wages are considerably less than down south. For example, a 1 bed flat in Wakefield is from £65k. Gloucester is near Cheltenham - which is quite an affluent area of the Midlands, a 1 bed flat would cost £130k :)

Will somebody who has owned this car please just own up and say why it gets moved on soo quickly. For example, Sarah there must be something massively wrong with it to let it go for £3k 4 weeks after buying it for nearly £7k . . . None of you own it anymore so nobody should care. Seriously...

My late '53 is on 83k :rasp: its a 206 hdi though, racked up 19k miles in the 182 in 5 months lol

Origin B2, best in my opinion as its looks factory installed and comes with a remote GPS anyway - so the screen doesnt affect it. Also easy to take out of the car and put in your pocket :)

They are going for £13k on autotrader with minimal miles :)
