Received my 3m tape, af revitalise 1&2 and af hide cleaner yesterday and today. Waiting on my Korean pads from sourcingmap :o
the revitalise 1 was unsealed and leaked a bit :(
I genuinely can't believe some budget tyres are allowed to be sold. They make such a fuss about tread depths and roadworthyness... Then they go and sell ditch finders?!
It must be a north/south thing.I asked a bloke at work to make sure I wasn't crazy and he concurred it was a blanket. Up here at least
Nexen n6000 are decent budget tyres. I had them on the front of my 197 when I first got it and oddly, they made it more oversteery than when I had contis all...
Ah, see on my old 1.4, the foam under the trim wore away leaving the trim to rub on the bolster. I thought that's how wear happened on all seats. Every day is a school day and all that.
Oh? I would've thought that the wear is caused by the material wearing on the hard bit of the bolster under the foam, so putting another layer on would just stop you seeing the wear.
im not arguing by the way, that was just what I thought. Do they genuinely stop wear?
If the front springs have a blue and orange dot on them, the alloys are standard anthracite. If they don't, the alloys have been sprayed.
you can see the front springs through the alloys if you crouch.
Oh, sorry, I was talking about the swirls.
The scuff, I couldn't see or feel it any more and I doubt the fillers which are meant to mask swirls would be sufficient to fill the scuff. ill double check nex time I clean it though.
Are they a trade only product or are they available for the...
Cheers, I didn't :o didn't have time to wipe it back and as I wasn't going for/expecting much correction, I was happy with it.
Would a watered down IPA be sufficient to remove any fillers in the future?
Cheers :D
civic paint is painfully soft, I knew this before hitting it with the da due...
Ask around to get an idea of how much demand is in your area.
My my only input would be 'I'd happily pay a small premium over online ordering to have the product there and then'
thanks, I think it's one of mine too now
I'm not the person to answer that sorry, you best ask that in the detailing chat and questions thread. Although I can't see why it wouldn't go over black hole.
Cheers, I didn't realise how much of a difference it mad until I saw the before and after haha.
^^ cheers Adam :)
Itd cut each time you use it due to the abrasives, I use it twice/ three times a year if that when doing 'big cleans'
A dedicated glaze like poorboys black hole would be best for you. Afaik it has no abrasives so you can use it as often as you like. And I think the Meg's...
Cheers :)
Thanks :),
It'll look awesome on performance blue.
The tripple actually cut it all out, which I was surprised about tbh.
I used a meguiars w9006 (iirc) soft buff finishing pad as I need to buy more pads and Honda paint is silly soft.
I left it to cake/bake on in direct sunlight for 20/30 mins and it came off fine. Was a little grabby but I was still surprised at how easy it came off.
an even layer, left to cure in the shade will be no problem for one person to do the whole car before buffing.
I didn't mean thrashing it around lol, I'm not sure if I'd always chuck it into renaultsport to use the paddles/shifter rather than have it in auto, as that's just lazy. But I was wondering what an owner/enthusiast does.
