People with parts washers. What do you run in yours?
My dads always used old petrol/kerosene or diesel mixed with thinners but I don't need to be shifting mega grease, just enough to give parts a good spruce. I thought about just banging in surfex HD in neat as that cleans parts really well
I had the same f**k about with the dipstick for my Megane
Every single one that arrived the cap was either wrong, the stick wasn't long enough or it didn't seal. In the end I bastardised the original lid onto a decent stick and it was fine after that
The green part wasn't even on the layout mate 😂
Church corner is bottom right, you were deffo carrying some speed through there though, I think we we're evenly paced... right until the braking zone and I was like
Aye there were a few slow 197s out (as usual) and some of the 666 spackas got in the way. Either way it was 4th all the way round church and getting into 5th before the apex on the left hand side
The new ratio box was so much better, the car just needs a bit more oomph to get it out of the corners
I think by the end of the day I was braking around the blue mark🤣
I had a few moments where I thought "I'm going straight here", but DS1.11 got me slowed down just in time🤣 When I had @Sunglasses_Ron in I thought I was gonna overcook it a few times
@Myfanwyi what speeds do you reckon we hit...
I do have another engine at work but I've no way of compression testing it
I could do a leak down test if someone has a tester. It apparently came out of a 90k car. Not sure how much I believe it but I was gonna use it to rebuild
But now I have that one with low comp on #1 to rebuild
That selector noise is normal
They do clunky into gears. The only place they would have play is at the red bushings under the shifter tower. But if they had that much play you'd be struggling to get gears consistently
I would look at balljoints/lower arms/rack bushes personally. That's going...
