Why didn't you just unbolt the track rods from the hubs, take the 4 bolts off of the balljoints and then take the bolt out of the rack and column? You could have left the shafts and hubs in the car It takes me about 30 mins to get the subframe dropped out of my car now. It's a terrible curse...
