If you get caught its not my fault, but do it , just want to see how quick these are, what boost you peaking/holding? also when does the power tail off, as in rpm, my main concern is reliability when used in anger, so im always checking threads on here with the conversions done, gotta say...
tom, we really need videos of this thing on full boost? im planning one in the future (couple years) but not many videos on the go, so come on dont be shy, get them up ha
it'll easy last 6 months, its just shallow pitting and the rest will clean up fine, most cars on the road will be of similar condition, no harm in getting a new one made from pirtek though
as above does anyone have these fitted? there is a set i am going to go and look at tomorrow second hand, but seen a few people saying they are uncomfortable, are they that bad?
Thanks
I have something similar, I've had both my belts kits done, dephaser and waterpump replaced (genuine by specialist) and my car also has a little whine first thing in the morning, go's away after a minute or two, same as you im thinking its an early warning for a fail at some time, pain in the...
If the dephaser is new then it's not that, sounds a bit like it until you Rev it up, it's something in the top end anyway, take it to someone who has lots of experience with this engine is my advice
Not right at all, sorry but the rocker cover will need to come off for a look at a minimum, why it wasn't when getting the belts done is madness with a noise like that
I've never went to a meet in my life, i could go if reasonably local and if im home, or could meet and someone could mop the clio for ma lol, the lights need doing also haha
as above, mine creaks also when nearly or on full lock, doesnt sound to good, im leaving it untill i refresh the front end next year, pretty sure its coming from the top of the strut tbh
might come down to this also with the clio, good to get a look at some mods i'll be doing in the future, only coming if it is dry though, will need to check the weather
i need aluminium rings to prevent them melting like the plastic ones on the track, the size needed OD is 73.1 and ID needed is 60.1, found a set on ebay so all's sorted bud
