Epas on a Looped PAS Rack

Trailer size that is big enough for clio but fits in garage

They do hold their value but you’re right, I think if I was buying one I’d go bigger. I used to have a bigger trailer a few years ago but storing them is difficult. That’s why I hire now. Cheap enough for the amount I use one but I’m lucky that I have a company near by. (Im an old git too so...

Trailer size that is big enough for clio but fits in garage

The Minno tows really nicely, but then all Brian James Trailers do. I hire my trailer when I need it but if I need a tire rack I hire a bigger one. What’s your tow vehicle? That might also have a bearing too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone tried 15" Yokohama A052 on a Clio?

I’ve been using AO50s on my race car which are awesome but one guy in my series who wins regularly has been running AO52s on 16 inch wheels for a couple of years. One set of tires lasted him all last season rather unbelievably! So, to answer your question I don’t think you’ll be disappointed...

Living with a 182 in the MSV Trackday Trophy

Great write-up. Everyone remembers their first time! Glad you made it to the end and don't beat yourself up about ther safety car, they're always confusing times!

    Low oil pressure alarm point

Yes I noticed you do that. When the time comes for a rebuild I may pop it up to you for that.

    Low oil pressure alarm point

Yes, although I did it this way. Is that what you mean?

Lower gearbox mount, is it needed?

I would drill the subframe and fit it if I were you. The top gearbox mounts are quite brittle and you’ll end up snapping it if it’s taking all the weight of the gearbox, especially under load. Good luck, whatever you decide. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm no expert but it looks like a lot of turbulence! I take it the noise test went ok too then?

The everlasting ph1 ITB Build **GREEN-BUILD STARTS AT PAGE 100**

Motorsport companies normally respond better with a deadline. If you tell them you have a test day booked that it needs to be ready for you may see a bit more urgency. Otherwise all their customers with race cars who need something done before the next race meeting will be jumping in front of...

The trials & tribulations of racing a Clio

Yeh, it’s all logical stuff really. Just a case of being thorough and methodical. Ideally I’ll be able to do all my set up at home but ultimately that’s going to involve the purchase of some corner weight scales. I’ve started to write a step by step guide for myself so I don’t ever forget...

The trials & tribulations of racing a Clio

Right, finally preparation for the 1st race of the season is under way. Very happy to have solved the electrical issues so I can concentrate on driving the car now. There's still lots of set up and configuration to do with the ECU and dash but that can come over time. Over the weekend I made a...

    Clutch change without moving subframe

No reason for a 182 to be easier that I can think of. In fact the easiest one would probably be a 172 Cup, non ABS but I’m not sure you’ll get the box back enough without at least dropping the subframe a bit. Getting in there to undo the cover plate, not to mention aligning the new clutch will...

The trials & tribulations of racing a Clio

As you’re on here can I ask you, do you know how many trigger points the speed sensor in the gearbox has? Assuming it’s an inductive sensor (Which I’m pretty sure it is) Trying to configure wheel speed in the Emerald! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The trials & tribulations of racing a Clio

Cable was re-crimped (properly) and all good. I have also since discovered that the Cartek isolator had a bad earth which in honesty I think was more of a contributing factor. So, now that's fixed, new HT leads fitted and the car is starting on the button as it should. Just submitted my entry...

The trials & tribulations of racing a Clio

Definitely frustrating. The wiring has been a learning curve and still one that I'm on! My only hope is that I'll solve it by process of elimination but time is ticking to the first race. I'm thinking it might be a last minute entry if I make it at all. The car was running nicely when it was...

The trials & tribulations of racing a Clio

Right; had a bit of a rollercoaster of a few days before the weekend. With less than 24 hours to go before the test day I still did not have the dash working with the ECU which was slowing down getting the rest of the items on the list ticked off. Anyway, Thursday evening I finally received an...
