Cheers fella, did you take the front arch liners out too? Was your strut brace designed for the 172? (if i remember right lol)

i didnt have any arch liners but yeah you would have to

i was tempted to get plates welded in, but the flanges on the cage were made flush to the struts so its just bolt in

put the strut on, marked holes, drilled, then used bolts etc with the car jacked up so could get my hands into the arch
well it was 'Jezlemans' old cage on here, ended up only keeping the main hoop, had the rest done again, got a diagonal bar going across it tommorow

well i went to get a cage modified yesterday in northampton, long long way!...ended up practically making a new cage...
needed to get it out today as im getting it powdercoated, but it was a very very tight fit....5 hours and lots of swearing later, oh and lots of trim out too...

you use the AEB setting in the menu, when using Program mode for example. Set it to -2, 0, +2....then use a tripod, setup you're shot and take the picture 3 times. Then load those 3 images into a program called photomatix to HDR them, then load into photoshop and play with contrast etc :)
