If it was a pothole actually in the road (ie not futher out than the solid white line), then you can probably claim the cost of repairs from the council
i'm fairly sure it will save more than that, it's one of the weight saving measures I want to take; but i will have the front ones fixed or like you said they will scratch.
They will look worse than glass, but they are for performance not looks
what is the lead time on getting them? from...
No more pics, but put some shocks on the rear temporaily, then got it on a ramp to remove:
Heatshields under the car
Brake pipes
Gear lever
Handbrake lever and cables
All ready to go away and have 'stuff' welded in...
Fine, im going to say that changing the exhaust to get a different note is gay aswell then, after all it is more or less the same thing.
You are not making the car do anything other than what it is supposed to do, all you are doing is changing how loud the noise is.
With a standard...
Well, the non-turbo version was fitted as standard into the Brava/Bravo, but it was only 155bhp. That engine is very heavy and not massively tunable, there are much better alternatives to put in it if you are going to go to all the trouble of doing something different :)
It should be fine aslong as you get a double piston (IIRC) one, I had a Forge one on my Fiat Coupe. Just replaced the standard plasic Bosch one and put a cut off bit of broom handle in the bit where the old one recirculated.
The only difference between the recirculating type and the direct to...
The willwoods iirc have a nipple on the outside top and bottom.
If that is what you are talking about, just bleed out of the top one; I think you might have a job getting any air out of the bottom one ;)
If it is indeed one each side at the top then please disregard the above :)
Much tooooo big, and there are much better turbo lumps to stick in (although the inline 5 is smoooth :))
You know, I think someones actually done that. Name begins with an R and ends in enault.... Someone on here is making a RWD non V6 anyway. Plus you can get 4x4 rallycross clios.
Step 1: Buy Subaru Impreza
Step 2: Buy Clio
Step 3: Graft subaru running gear into clio chassis
Easy peasy.
Truth be told, the above is actually fairly easy, mainly just fabricating mounts and altering the clio floor plan to accept the subaru running gear.
The hard part is getting it...
Couple more pics and a little bit more done.
Found the best and easiest way of getting rid of the sound deadening on the floor....
.....child labour
Finally done all the front floor bits (which will be all for now)
All the glass has been taken out ready for it to go away...
I think if you are replacing a perfectly good working display with a stack one your are clearly just a masochist.
All that expense, and for no gain. They are only really and use if you dont have a dash or loom to begin with.
Anyway, they shouldnt be hard to get hold of, just dont be...
