a aprentice i worked with did this to me once before i had to fish all the needle rollers out with a telescopic magnet they all sit in the bottom so you should be ok long as you havn't run it
that was just temporary the black inlet it gained me midrange power..
going to be alot different in the summer ;)
and hard to do,, no it was ok would have been easier if i had complete wiring looms but its got about 3 different cars worth of wiring i've had to mix and match so took a bit of doing
ok so what do you plan on changing in a completely ecu controlled ignition system?s
ecu wiring or coilpack?
they dont make a coilpack for renault fitment and theres nothing else to change
i had one mercury grey same as that just as mint judging by the pictures just done cambelt and valve stem seals on it sold it for a grand.. never worth 5k even if it had done 1 mile
yep you got it,, just lay the actual alloy arm flat on the edge of a vice, and whack the not so circular bit,, all comes out easy..
the rubber bushes are a bit of a tight fit in there but go in easy enough in a vice
that rubber mount in the old arm, and the cage around in all hammers out
stick the mount flat on a vice and just hit the cage round that rubber out
all will then become obvious
yeh eh?? jack them on the bolts for the X shaped brace goes across the subframe on the front,,, and the rear radius arm bolts on the rear...
same as a jag xjs underneath!
its EXACTLY the same job as fitting a 2.0 need both looms ecu uch etc etc etc
1.6 (k4m) and 2.0 (f4r) are near enough identical to look at use the same managment etc
2 different spark plug tools
10mm and 14mm
that related to size of the thread on the plug... 10mm thread 16mm hex and 14mm thred i think is 21mm
oh and you want a 10mm/16mm hex
is it renault wheel nuts with the spinning outer edge?
if so, yer screwed...
they can be removed you have to split the outer right and whack a socket on them but can take forever
fred had a go and couldnt get his head round it iirc
i had a look at it and just couldnt be bothered so binned it lol
search 172 conversion all the pinout data is there for the pas calculator if you are using a 1.2 dash loom i think its just going to be a case of putting a live and an earth to...
water pumps come loose??????
thats a new one on me, are you sure thats what he said?
as in order to tighten it back up again the cambelt covers would have had to been removed, in which case he'd of seen the oil leak??
not making sense, could be a cam/crank seal
