what one???
i got a 2.2 vectra head off at the moment and i'd rate that about half difficulty of doing a f4r/k4m/k4j etc etc
the timing procedure on the renault is pretty complex if you've not done it before..
are you talking about the ecotec they put in the tigra/corsa with the...
its doing what?????
only thing that can cause that is the alternator,, nothing else physically there that would do that
and if the volt reg in the alternator has died and put 18v through the system its probably killed the ecu/uch etc
engine cover lol thats the last of your worries
unsure if the blocks the same for one but you'd need a complete cylinder head, both manifolds inlet and exhaust, probably downpipe/cat too.
wont be able to swap and change the ecu unless you got the engine/dash/all interior looms plus...
my inlets are matched, i've recently bolted a spare plenham on it temporary (not matched to the lower so the lowers enlarged and the uppers standard)
and i seem to have gained a noticable amount of torque.
going to see if thats true on the rr in jan
thats a bit far gone with all the smoothing etc but some abortions you see like that i've been wondering if i could buy take the bodykits etc off and by the time i'd ebay'd all the plastic i reckon you could profit from it
i'll scan the graph and post in this thread tommorow..
i thought it looked wrong as soon as i watched it on the screen but the rr operator reckoned it was running spot on..
would you agree with me that it would be a map issue??
cheers
wiper blades are THE worst jobs we get in!!!
they are an absolute doddle if you buy decent ones with clips that actually fit....
but the ones my boss insists on buying (box of 999,999,9000 for a pound) you can spend hours searching for clips and god knows what else
would rather do head...
saying that though if one of the roller rockers have snapped (what i think you are talking about) i'd have a good go at getting something out of them as it can only be a manufacturing defect
no other reason for that to happen, unless as said the timings slipped
dan whilst on the subject mate, looking at my rr graph the afr on my car is pretty much bang on 14.7/1 untill it hits 3500 rpm when it shoots right up to around 11.1???
this sound right to you, it dosn't really look right to me.
