Those are local companys to me and I think they are nationwide, if not use the one you know.Always buy more than you need, you dont want to run out half way through.
Go to a paint suppliers or motor factors such as part-co or brown brothers and ask to see the colour chips there will be loads of different shades of anthracite so you will be able to pick the one you like.
i agree got to let people no your around and what your works like
Looking for a suitable car to sort out now, will be something small with a euro theme, small wheels and smooth bodywork ftw
I will see if i can get some sort of pricing out of my mate tomorrow. As most of you know its getting to the stage where you have a mould for a bonnet. First off you need to prep the plug a good second hand bonnet would be ideal for this then take a mould for the skin of the bonnet. After that...
I agree, the only thing with this line of work is that its a lot more expensive than people think, from the start on a full exterior re-paint. At least half a day to strip the car bumpers off ,mirrors, door handles, mouldings etc. Go round and and tap out dents and do repairs, most cases at least...
To be fair thats the only thing that worries me, I know my work is spot on but with so many so called bodyshops about im going to be fighting for buisness. I seen people advertising full re-paints for £500 how can you compete with that.
If i had a bonnet that i could make into a plug i know a laminator who could and would be willing to make them, not some monkey either 30+ years in the trade, we used to make loads of stuff for local rally teams. I dont know if we could do pre preg as the cost is to high but still a lot lighter...
If you look in your local yellow pages under paint suppliers, phone one of these and ask to have the colour put in an arsehole can. You can buy single pack clear from halfords but make sure you paint some where warm or other wise the clear can go cloudy.
I have been in the bodywork trade for over ten years and am pissed off with working for other people so have decided to go it alone. I have a workshop with a booth and all other bodyshop facilities and am talking to a guy who specializes in carbon fibre, carbon kevlar and glass fibre to...
What a plank that exhaust is the worst I have seen, do you rembember when all the goons were putting exhausts like this on cars in this country. The airbrush guy has talent but why on a car? Keep it to custom bikes and lids
To be fair you need to decide what you want from the brakes because there is a to bigger comprmise between road and track. Fit some decent pads that have bite from cold as you dont want to be slamming into the first car you come across and when a track day comes up take the spaners with you and...
That is the car going into limp home mode, you need to get it to a garage and stop thrashing it to the red line, why would you thrash a car when its clearly not write? Correct me if I am wrong.
