was looking for your car at fcs couldnt find you mate was gonna pop over for a chat.
well.. its not the end of the world.
leave the engine in to do the rings sump off head off then i reckon you'll get away with deglazing the bores with a hone tool and a set of rings
man of your new found...
just been taken a bit further tuning wise as far as i know different turbos etc..
as for mine.. coilovers and sort a power steering setup with an electric pump are next payday
then looks wise im thinking ph1 172 front end and skirts
yeah seen your one about matt.. mental.. saw it at fcs aswell since its not normalisiation.
bet you never thought you'd see mine running lol!
if you hadn't guessed that was my boss/receptionist ordered a turbo for the traffic van from you not long ago mate... trying to put a bit of...
i just thought they were two different cars tbh..
ktecs was a work of engineering art.. the whole car pas p**n really something thats too nice to drive.
gdi's just looked like it was built to do the buisness.. and it did go some on track
appreciate both for what they are... think of it as...
did anyone see the silver vee with the ironing bored strapped to the tailgate?
(humble apologies if it belongs to someone on here i noticed at a distance lol)
yeah wind is a bit of a bugger for me aswell. seems to blow my car all over the place where others dont seem to affected by it
thought i was going to part company with my sunroof aswell.. starting to see why they werent fitted to sports
going pretty well mate.. withstood a bit of a spanking today took it to fcs and the scenic route back..
45 odd quids worth of vpower later!
loads of plans for it all in good time!
probaly a bit of rust (the flakes of rust) stuck behind one of the discs causing it to not sit flat
done this myself a few times... need to make sure the flange is really clean too
if you are getting a strong equal spark out of each it wont be the coilpack mate.
leads are over a ton from renault but you can get magencor ones cheaper about 70 quid i think
no the bell housing is bigger/ different bolt spacing on the meg hence why its a fcuker to get in the 172 bay...
same reason you cant fit the 6speeder to the 172
dropped on each as much as eachother? more than likely leads mate. bit of a crude method i use to see if leads are breaking down is run your hands over them and see if they shock you..
i've read that 3 times and i still dont get it.
so you are saying, air or nitrogen dont expand as they are enclosed in a sealed tyre.
but heat makes the pressure increase because its converting heat energy to pressure..
so, nitrogen does this less so?
or should i just give up trying...
wouldnt have been you chasing me down the a127 a couple of months ago would it (i use the term chasing quite loosly as said focus ended up infront of me at quite some speed)
im sure it was that number plate !
need to know if its missfiring first mate,
could throw loads of random engine component names around but it dosn't help at all as they are un educated guesses without knowing the info
batterys not charged mate nothing else it can be really, unless theres a mega mega drain somewhere, but even cranking wouldnt drop it down to 7v so its not reallly feasable.
sounds like its just not charged for what ever reason, need to boost it and get it running then see whats going on...
well a 1.3 gearbox one a 106 gti would give mental acceleration as a trade off for top speed... i'd imagine he wants to know if theres a similar gearbox swap for the clios.
i'd say no,, as the box designed for the car struggles with the power let alone from a smaller engined car
