water goes in to them, witch craft happens and stops it dribbeling out,
thats about the most techincal answer i can give you im afraid but i've fitted loads rovers have a habbit of dribbeling the water out of there washer jets just put one of them in line.
they still work fine as you fit...
no one ever mentions this but im sure you could get away with sticking a 1 way valve inline with the washer jet hose just lift the scuttle up a bit stick your hand in there and fit the valve in line
they are about 10p from halfords or similar
ah, so it works after being stationary a while?
is this the case with it running too. ie after sitting with it running/revving a little while
if so it sounds like a thermostat stuck open and overcooling the engine
yep seen it before its not too much a problem, you are already on the right lines.
if you want to calculate what spacers you need theres 2 ways of going about it both a bit long winded
you can either fit the old brake pads back in on one side, measure what clearence you have between the...
how people come to the conclusion a new engine is cheaper is beyond me, new head at the very most but even thats not needed.
think about it, you are getting another engine which requires you to fit a new waterpump really and all the belts, why not just take the head off fit the valves and fit...
well there is a mobile bloke that has come round a few times,, i'll have a word with him and report back
i have mentioned to him a few years back now about him doing some jobs for me so i could offer it privately with my own services etc and he seemed keen, and only just started seeing him...
i've had this in the past, are they aftermarket wheels?
had someone come in for pads had just had wheels fitted by elites (monkeys)
obviously they had fitted the wheels and checked clearences with the pads worn down which means the caliper sits further in, after fitting thicker new pads the...
you can have a go mate but expect an interesting conversation with the parts dept.
throttle setup consists of two parts, well 4 acutally but 2 that go wrong on the regualr,, throttle pedal, connected to the ecu via wiring loom, then out of the ecu to the electronic throttle body.
what sort of year is the car,,, if its the old shape inlet manifold 1.2 16v i'd bet its not a throttle position sensor (they dont have one as such being fly by wire) it will either be the pedal or the throttle body hes on about
the big one on the older 1.2's though is the ecu cover rubbing...
to be honest, although its a possibility ive never ever seen a blocked heater matrix before on any modern car.. its always down to something else.
possibly linkage popped off, or theres a flap inside the heaterbox thats known for failing it directs air over the matrix
dash out to do it though
