they are hyraulic on yours mate, they will want squeezing in a vice (purists will probably start on me for saying that)
when they pump up with oil the self adjust and if they havnt been assembled in the same way and/or valve seats have been lapped or cut then the hydrualics will be holding the...
nope youd need shocks too which would widen the track meaning you need the wishbones and matching antiroll bar which of course now you've widenend the track means you need the longer shafts and bracketry too.
stop there mate! that will be why you had no compression! probably no need to pull the head off, cant you just sort out the rocker/ lifter situation and then try it?
or best still tow it to a garage how it is now to do a leak test on it as all the valves will be shut
as title, can the be adapted *cough*molested in to fitting? i need powersteering, trying to lug my car about with no powersteering is fine if you really fancy a spirited drive but getting up at 6 to go to work its a bit much..
just need to know if i can get it to fit with the ff pipework

normal thread, they do undo but they have a spring/locking clip affair on them that you have to break off (this is done by just undoing it)
once you crack it off its fine.
make sure you fit the new locking washer and plate in the right order and use plenty of loctite

they look exactly like standard fitment xkr/db7 calipers be a touch if they are.
are they yours mate? is the caliper direct fit to the hub or is the a seperate bracket on it as db7 ones bolt straight to the hub
