it sort of bogs down and then you can ride it out? had exactly the same thing mate couldnt figure it out for months as soon as it warmed up it ran perfect.
never missfired as such is just bogged down as soon as it got higher up the revs as if you switched the ignition off then would cut back in...

ecu by the sounds of it fella..
could also be a wiring fault.. but thinking about it it would need a fault in both the coil pack wiring and the injectors. as they are both triggered seperately by the ecu but its all calculated from the crank sensor input.
i suppose theres a backhanded chance...
well i already got that oil in it at the mo, its not due another change yet but think i'll get some for the freebie

can be done, but if you have to ask its probably not something you'll be up to doing yourself.
long as you can physically close the bonnet over it you can put ANY engine you want in it.
and pedal feel, response through pedal.. basically everything is improved.

look in the engine bay, gearbox on your right engine on your left
its right where the gearbox meets the engine, bang in the middle on the top
might need the airbox out the way
you cant really see it its more done by feel
every 2 years regardless of milage
while you are there maybe some braided lines
erm pollen filter
give all the wheels a wobble and a spin to check bearings bushes etc etc
regas aircon if you have it
tbh if you need a guide for doing it you shouldnt attempt it imo.
just look at the engine it becomes blatent.
