the gauge dosnt go to the dash mate.
it runs from the temp sensor straight to the ecu, gives the ecu a resistance reading across its 2 wires, then from the ecu it goes in to the cluster.
i tend to just use the spring clips i havnt had a problem.
but yeah jubilee clips look nice.
tbh trying to find renault type d stuff is a bit anal, any antifreeze will be ok just dont get the red 5 year stuff as it stains the bottle.
if you do want gen stuff gsf chadwell heath sell it in 5l...
fill it up, theres a bleed screw on the side of the thermostat housing.
the coolant level will drop keep topping it up untill you get clear water and no air out of the bleed screw.
do it up, keep check on coolant and run it up.
no far from it, same hassle as doing a 172 conversion.
only to find when its done its still not that quick
see here to see whats involved - exact same process and parts as doing a 1.6

and you will come across...
as said the stop light only comes on with another warning light,, even im meganes.
if nothing else is on (forget your emmisions light as thats an advisory (yellow))
then all i can really think is that one of the smd's in the dash isnt working, cant think of a time the stop light comes on on...
if you helicoil the thread from the off you dont have these problems.
i put a helicoil insert in that and the two lower mount bolt holes just to strengthen them up a bit on mine had no problems.
the inserts make the thread about twice the strength of just straight in to the ally
so you have a magnex backbox designed to fit a standard 172 mid section? if so it wont fit the magnex center section as its larger bore.
so it would need custom welding together anyway.
thats why they dont do them seperate as they wouldnt fit together,
and, magnex center sections are...
well yes, but its the same story again, too much boost = too high a final compression ratio = det...
you'll still see gains.
theres some gains to be had in lpg and especially ethanol
yes it can, speak to somebody like paul from rs tuning.
you will gain a bit of torque and a few bhp as ignition can be advanced a tad without hearing det.
power engineering thurrock (now torque of the devil) have done a few tests using all the readily available "off the shelf fuels"...
well ideally you want so see what resistance is giving.
im looking through the data i have access to now i cant see a resistance curve for a f4r temp sensor,,
you'll want to compare it to that.
it will also be making it overfuel so worth checking
could be something as simple as a sticking...
oh, i got sidetracked there..
if its running permanantly its seeing the wrong resistance value from the coolant temp sensor.
get it plugged it at a garage (dont need to be clip just a scanner that can show live data) and see what temp it reads.
dont you have a 1.6 cts? probably down to that
nope my aircon is in the skip. slow speed comes on first and normally cuts in and out very rarely does high speed come on,
on sunday it was going slow/fast/off though as it was so hot
that is VERY expensive, renault romford charged me £34.44 inc vat to code the key to my car (i supplied the plip and blade)
that is trade price though
they even washed it
your facts are a bit arse about face there fella, its the other way round.
for example. 100 octane fuel dosn't need a remap, but a remap (depending how its setup) may need the 100 octane fuel.
ie you pick what fuel you want to run the car on, then you map it to suit, the octane rating is...
