how the hell can a lambda sensor put an oil pressure light up?
a renault tech told you that? i thought AA were bad diagnosing every car they clap eyes on as a headgasket.
probably just an oil pressure switch, or possibly too thin an oil grade?
get the pressure checked just to be safe mate.
or sorry is it the red pressure light
theres a possibility its either a oil pressure switch or worst case an oil pressure problem, get it checked out mate
need to extend the 1.2 plastic servo pipe to fit it up to the 172 inlet.
what sort of pipe should i be looking at as obviously it cant collapse under vacum
ideally something i can get from the likes of homebase of b&q that will hopefully be open tommorow
well yeah obviously there are pros and cons of the two it depends entirely what you are after but the general consensus is the 182 has more pros than cons torque/power curve wise
so forgive me if im being dumb here, but if you were to run a outboard injector setup and you were to physically cool the fuel say, would that be a way of reducing intake temps?
sorry i love all this lol
Re: 70% complete 172RWD!
yeah thats why i said is the pump running it may have just had line pressure when you checked it first unlikey i know but its worth a thought
while you engine guru's are about,, whats going on here
are these secondary injectors or is that how its fueled? like it is in a normal spi setup??

answer to most of your questions are stop being a girl
1 they pull out, try harder
2 they have screws in iirc
3 they pull off they have clips at the top yank them out a tad and stick your head in there you will see the clips you just push them
4 pull harder
Re: 70% complete 172RWD!
so fuel pump runs, injectors are firing, each plug is sparking, and you have compression?
yes to all those its probably something like bore wash
your firing questions out quicker than we can answer lol. there arent any advantages really, your best keeping it there untill it starts clicking then just remove it to remove a bit of dead weight
1.2, everything is 1.2 bar the engine and box
same way yours is set up (as i've read)
just a tad concerned with that one shaft
is yours pinned on there or the same\?
as title i've fitted 1.2 shafts when doing my 172 conversion, when taking the 1.2 shafts off the original gearbox the shaft just knocked off of the splined section on the box with a copper hammer
but fitting it to the 172 box it seems a tad loose for my liking, theres a hole through the...
looks like your getting a bit wet there mate, lol
just for future reference, you only need to take the grille and slam panel off to gain access to the rad
there bloody is try doing a 182 one.
i had to shorted mine to fit the 182 manifold up to a 172 exhaust, cut it in half (i have 2) and attempted to smash the cat out couldnt touch it, air chisel wouldnt even touch it, ended it up putting it in the 10 tonne press to get it out
