The track rod itself is one of the only adjustable parts of your suspension. You replace part of that how would you know it's right unless it's given an alignment check? I'm actually a little shocked you're asking the question. Did a garage fit it?

Get a ceramic nano sealant of some kind. Plenty out there. My tip has been wearing C1 since last november. Looks great still.
