This isn't any normal Clio/Car forum mate. You'll find that out if you stick around. Even if you never buy a Clio!
I had about 25 posts before I sold my 1.2 Clio. It wasn't a bad car. Wasn't unreliable. Just a bit meh.
You'll regret selling the mini. Believe me. Can't you spend some cash...
Touch wood i've never been stopped for my plain back plate or my small front one. It'll feel mental if I ever have to live with a normal size plate on the front on any future cars.
Back one should always be standard!
Sorry RE is the cutting polish and RD is the finishing polish mate.
If you want a heavy and light polish buy 85RE for polishing/correction and 85RD for finishing. :) If you want correction look at the hex range, will give more cutting ability on DA/rotary than 3M yellow. Green Hex is robust...
Re: My Ultra Red 200.
I'm not actually sure about the Akrapoviç exhaust. For the money I couldn't actually hear it on Noodie's video. Didn't have any real... body to it. Might be better once sooted up a bit.
Might need to listen to more videos.
I never advise buying kits mate, buy separate and get what you want/need imo.
2 3M pads are cheap. Rotaries are always cheaper mate, a Silverline is only £40 or something.
Well the EP blurs the line between DA and rotary, so much easier to use, much quicker and cheaper, no drawbacks. You'll do damage with a DA if you use a pad and polish wrong. Imo the EP is hard to do damage with because it's similar to a DA in a lot of ways. I'd struggle to recommend a DA...
About 9!
The EP is lighter than the 3M iirc which is easy the lighest rotary i've ever used. 3M could be 1.9kg in fact. I prefer the weight of the Millwaukee, it's easily my favourite machine.
The EP feels like a DA but performs like a rotary, i'd never recommend it from a pro pov, it's superb...
I personally would save the money and buy this tidy little thing once it's back in stock (email them) http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/cleanyoucar-ep800-compact-rotary-polisher/cleanyoucar-ep800-compact-rotary-polisher/prod_854.html
3M yellow pad and some Menzerna 203's or 106FA...
I think it's October for me, I'll just go cheap rolling contract until the new one comes out, really no point upgrading at that point imo.
Although worryingly it may be next fall before anything is announced re: iPhone5, Long time to wait I suppose but plenty of cash saved per month.
Werkstat and Zaino will sheet water. Nano sealants like Gtechniq etc will keep your car cleaner for longer.
If you can, hold out for a new product coming out, think it's called max protect or similar, from the man who developed old Gtechniq C1.
Hi chap, the only real way is clear foil over it but something like a strong ceramic sealant will help.
Cquartz have a very good one best applied by a professional.
