Have you topped it up more than once or is the first time you noticed it? I’m pretty sure my 172/182 had various level of coolant, as long as it’s staying between max and min I wouldn’t worry about it.

I’ve never heard of this! My Saab’s on 134k, doesn’t smoke at all unless it’s doing a DPF clean. Sounds like a proper ratler of a diesel though.

So you’d put brand new good grippy tyres on the front? Then run old crap ditch finders on the back? Much rather have my front tyres start to let go before the rears. Not to mention the rears will last ages, so you’ll be running crap rear tyres for ages.
