    Look at brake fluid reservoir, if fluid is between min and max jobs a good un. Also low fluid usually means brake pads might be low.

    I really don't know how people do it, 2nd gear, accelerate hard round a roundabout, lift off, opposite lock etc, nothing, solid as a rock.

    As above, it's battery breather, the fumes given off are toxic, but can't see it being a problem under the bonnet, it's not exactly air tight under there.

    I've never had my cheapest quote from compare the meerkat etc. Just use them for a ball park figure then go direct.
