In general the Clio has been running well.
The only issue I’ve been having is a weak battery on start up, the Varley 25 in the
Clio was fitted back in 2014 so had done well!
Old vs new
Seat out to get to the battery.
I have now moved to East Hampshire, so have some excellent...
Finally sorted out my driveway at my new place, so today was able to pick up the M2 comp from storage.
Another addition to the comp, over the OG M2 is a carbon fibre strut brace, improves front turn in, and looks good.
Hopefully fit my front splitter next weekend.
Just needs driving now so...
Yes Kev, I had a mineral grey OG M2, I really think MG paint suited the M2.
I also prefer Hockenheim silver to Alpine white, but only alpine white and black sapphire were available, and I don’t have the paitence to deal with a black car. However the black comp on gold 763m that you posted...
Yes Mark DCT. I did have a extended test drive in a DCT comp last summer and was very impressed with it. Tbh, I actually fancied a change from a OG manual M2 to DCT comp especially as I never owned auto/ DCT car before.
Picked this up last Saturday from Barons Bedford to replace my mineral grey M2. It has pretty much every option bar the sunroof and big brake kit.
Driven it around 140 miles, and is now in storage until my driveway is finished.
Already ordered a new Restore44 front splitter (the same as...
Well after 3.5 years of ownership the M2 has now gone :( I traded it in for a new M2 competition yesterday. I had an extended test drive in a comp in the summer and was very impressed. It addressed a lot of the OG M2 flaws (mainly the bouncy ride), the only downside is the exhaust note/lack of...
The M2 had it's first MOT in November, it passed with no advisories!
Soon after I put the M2 into storage, the main reason I have moved into a new place and currently don't have enough parking, until I build a double garage and extend the driveway.
The M2 is in good...
Passed it’s mot with no advisories, I also had a new Pure motorsport sports cat and rear NSR abs sensor replaced, and some new headlight adjusters all fitted at Rentech.
This also marks 15 years of ownership.
The Clio only did 424 miles last year (most of which was a trip to EFI parts for...
Owned M2 for 3 years now, on 15,700 miles.
All good apart from a leaking driveshaft -fixed under warranty, and the windscreen needs replacing due to a huge crack developing from a tiny stone chip.
Rare sight a M2 with chrome kidney grilles ;)
Stock apart from a Restore44 splitter fitted.
I’ve not driven a M2 comp yet, but am planning on booking one for a 24 hour test drive once lockdown has lifted. I’ve read very positive reviews on the M2 comp and I did only plan on keeping the M2 for 3 years. It would be interesting to drive them back-to-back to see the differences between the...
