I seem to remember that you can buy some stuff to soak into tyre surfaces to 'rejuvinate' the tyre...particularly useful for half worn semi slicks etc. I think it's used in the karting world but banned from most car race series iirc. Anyone come across it? Apparently makes quite a difference...
I bought a clio wiring diagram which has turned out to be pretty crap tbh.
Basically I want to move the elec window switches (just the driver's side ones) to the centre console (I'm putting a little panel in there). I've bought some aftermarket window switches which I know the pinout of.
The...
Was on track yesterday and after about 10 minutes it felt like the brakes were dead! Didn't inspire confidence at all! Current setup is:
Carbon Lorraine RC5
Brembo HC
Braided lines
Castrol superdot 4 response
Thinking I may have boiled the fluid as I let the brakes cool inbetween...
As above, I've had to swap my exhaust due to emissions but I've only been able to get hold of a ph1 one (twin barrel, single lambda type).
Even if it passes on emissions, would it still fail based in the fact that the 2nd lambda would appear to be reading nothing?
Cheers!
I get these popping up every now and then (mainly for the first 10mins or so of driving when it's cold on a morning).
Checked the oil and the level is fine, definately circulating round the engine too so I don't think there's a problem with the pump. I assume it's just a dodgy sensor or a...
As above, looking for something to replace the ebc deathstuffs I currently have fitted. They're just for road use as I have RC5's for track. Just after something that bites reasonably well and will actually stop the car lol.
Thinking Renault pads @ about £40 or Mintex 1144 @ £60 maybe...
Did this for a mate a while back, can't remember what exactly I did with it but thought it was worth posting it up anyway!
Started out like this, dull and dirty!
Treated to an APC/Shampoo plus mix via the superspray:
Door shuts also cleaned:
Only cleaned the front of the wheels as the...
My interior fan suddenly died, however they still blow out a bit of air. I'm assuming it's this 'pwm speed controller', but could someone confirm this before I order one from Renault? Car is fitted with climate control...
Cheers
Every time I clean the car to go and take some pics the sun goes in, so I thought I'd get a few snaps on the drive!
And a quick snap of the bay:
Looks a little different now, but fancied putting these up anyway! Apologies about the rusty discs :o
Comments welcome :)
A few little niggles with the car atm so I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction...
1. Got a slight knock from the drivers side wheel arch area. I can only really hear it when braking reasonably hard as I come to a stop (as the car kind of 'sits' back). Possibly a...
Basically I'm in a dilemma between 2 phones/contracts. Seeing as I don't know a massive amount about either, I thought I'd post it up here!
iPhone 3GS on o2
Cost wise for the 16gb on a 24 month contract would be £90 for the phone, then £35 a month for the contract plus £10 for insurance...
My handbrake has been progressively getting worse and I knew the pads were low so changed them and it's still no better. I took it down to a garage I know as I thought it could be the cable but they said that was fine. When the rear pads were fitted they reckon the piston must have been turned...
Thought I'd look into this to see if it was possible. Using something like this:
http://www.motorsport-tools.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_38&products_id=87&zenid=a44936758438b8d6dfe943af72ec798f
It can be used for castor and camber. Say if I got that and was able to make a...
Due to the number of people involved and the other apparent issues with payment/delivery, it has been decided that it will be best to go with the code for a 15 Euro discount.
I apologise to everyone who wanted to go for the GB option and who waited to be part of the group buy, but hopefully...
It seems I can't actually create a poll, so just reply with either 1 or 2, thanks!
As per this post:
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showpost.php?p=4856442&postcount=205
Please vote for Option 1 or 2:
1. Run the group buy in the same manor as before with a discount code, but only a...
Been thinking about getting some of these, but I thought that if I fitted them this would stiffen things up and possibly cause oversteer?
Anyone fitted them or care to say if they'll make much difference?
PLEASE USE THIS THREAD ONLY FOR GROUP BUY RELATED DISCUSSION.
FOR INFORMATION REGARDING THE PRODUCT ITSELF, SEARCH OR CREATE A NEW THREAD.
This group buy will run a little differently from the last one. Basically the more people in the group buy, the better the price, rather than just a...
Got this recently so here's a pick of the photos I've taken so far. Minimal settings were changed (as I don't really know what to do with them yet!) and they're all taken on the kit lense. Very pleased with how they've come out!
I've put the large size images up, just so that they're easier to...
Thinking about fitting a silencer to my exhaust as it drones at around 60 - 70 which is starting to get annoying tbh.
I'm under the impression that if you remove the cat then it's ideal to have a silencer in the same place?
A mate of mine has a supersprint on his 106 which is pretty much a...
Me and Luke (1PBY) met up with a mate for a few night pics. Quality isn't brilliant as they were took on my cheapo cam, but they came out alright :approve:
And the money shot...
Cheers for looking, comments welcome!
I've found the 1gb ipod shuffle from amazon for £30, is this the best option? It's just a small thing for my old dear's friend who doesn't use a computer a lot so it needs to be fairly simple.
Shuffle:

Or one of these...
I'm after some decent mats for my dads car (e90, 3 series). I think justmatz is out of the question due to the time they'll take to make etc.
Is there anywhere else that sells decent mats as 'off the shelf' items? The bmw ones are rubbish so that's not an option! Just after something fairly...
I've fitted buckets and ideally want to get rid of these. I've read the guide but if someone has already done this could they explain exactly where the resistor needs to go with possibly a pic?
