So after about 18 months on a mate's driveway, I bought back my trusty old bus, and have finally got it suitable for the daily hack.
Spec-

Whiteline
DS2500's
Matched inlets
Uprated filter
K-Tec stealth exhaust
Poly Dogbone mount

Some pikey Cobra seat on X-low frame

Afternoon chaps
Changed an alternator on a 182 the other night and turns out the part was a duff. Started smoking and eventually gave up life.
Since then, car won't start on another known working battery.
When connected to another running car, the jump leads get red hot and the alternator...
Hoping some genius on here might be able to help.
Basically, a mate of mine is getting married, and i want to make an embarrassing flickbook of a YT video he's featured in. Video is here, and he's the numpty caught on camera crying between 12:02 and 12:05.
Is anyone clever enough to lay me...
Picked up from a mate today. Car has 175k on the clock, so the to-do list is fairly long.
Clutch could do with replacing at some point.
General suspension refresh definitely required.
Tyres have seen better days
Needs a clean up.
Silver wheels fitting and sell black ones.
Will probably fit some...
I've had a google but can't find anything to match mine. I have a dension iPod/iP4 lead which goes into the back of the standard Hu.
Need to get an iP5 lead for it- anyone know the best place to find one?
Must charge and play.
Have had a few people asking me for pictures of the Minter Ph1 that I've been putting together. I hate to think of how much time (and money) I've put into this, but the results speak for themselves I think. Very proud of this one.
Work that's been done over the course of the last few months...
So the missus' sister needs a car to kart the kids about in for a few weeks and could I source a car for them to drive to save renting one.
I took this upon myself to buy another car. Total now of five. Fleet, almost.
Anyway, this is now my favourite car I've ever owned. A few pics...
DCi has sprung a leak,
Have cleaned it all up, and it's leaking from the drivers driveshaft output seal.
Pics:
Seal in more detail on a spare box I have:
Anyone know if it's as simple as pull the old seal out and replace? Seal available seperately?
Will give Agency a call on Tuesday...
Just out of interest, what is the take up on these from anyone using a 20VT engine/box?
I have acquired 6x 6 plate paddle clutches. 5x Alcons and 1x Sachs, which are all used (came from Cupra cup cars i believe) and are all in decent enough condition.
Anyone on here used one? What are they worth?
As above. Would normally always go Valeo, but CP4L is only showing Transmech, LUK or Exedy.
Exedy one is the same price as the LUK, but comes with a release bearing included which would be handy.
Anyone used one before?
So a mate of mine has a Mk1 16v, and has lost his only key.
Managed to source a new lock set, key and ignition barrel but obviously the immobiliser will be a problem with the new key.
Is there anyway of removing the immob completely? If not, any simple ways to bypass it?
cheers
xx

My girlfriend's parents Boxster S for sale.
Proper minter.
Just picked this little beaut up for a bargain. Was considering breaking it but I'll definitely be fixing a few niggly faults and fixing it.
Could do with a decent clean and tidy up, but I'm super chuffed.
Current spec, that's subject to change:
Blistering B16 coilovers.
Anthracite...
So with the highlight weekend of most of our years now in sight, it was time to start looking for our chariot to transport us. While I've already got the E30, that's in far too good a condition to be chucking a fridge or BBQ about, so figured we'd pick something else up that would carry 4 of us...
So, never thought I'd venture into here.
Anyone have any recommendations of some super awesome wheel cleaner that will need minimum amounts of scrubbage? Cleaning 4x BBS' on my e30 is similar to water torture with how long it takes!
Ideas, if such a product even exists!?
I'm currently on the train back from agreeing the purchase of this little beauty.
Some details about the car:
It's a 1989 325i cab which has had one owner from new!
-50k miles!
-manual gearbox
- M-tec 1 kit from factory
- full BMW service history prior to being tucked up in a garage.
