    Replacing midsection-advice!

    I have the dreaded midsection exhaust rattle, Renault wont touch it, and I am now thinking about a stainless system, especially the one from Ktec. I know this might be a stoopid question, but would the replacement cure the rattle? Thanks. Its a Cup, by the way.:)

    Squeaking noise on turning the wheel

    My Cup has started to develop a nasty squeaky noise when I turn the wheel left more than right whilst applying the power. No juddering. Steering and brake fluid OK. Cant see anything untoward. Any ideas? Cheers!

    1st track day in the Cup...

    And it flew. All the gripes about torque steer and tramlining were gone in an instant, the car is simply awesome on track. It corners harder than my integra in the wet, and was quite simply, great. 13 grand extremely well spent.:D

    Ringing/whistling noise above 6k

    When really going for it, my Cup has always developed a high-pitched ringing/whistling noise from about 6k to 8k. It goes like stink, and runs ok, but I wonder if anyone has an idea what this might be due to? I fail to localise the sound from inside, and havent managed to position myself outside...

    What engine oil is standard

    Anyone know what oil is in the Cup/172 from factory? And what oil would be best to run it on? I have always been a bit partial to Mobil One, but just dont know. Advice appreciated! Cheers!

    172 rev limiter...

    The redline on my car is at 7200, and the rev limiter comes in at 6800rpm. Is it me or does this sound like French logic here? How am I supposed to drive that on a track day? Has anyone else had this problem, and do you have any suggestions for a "cure"? Grateful for any help.

    Cup meets VX220...

    On the empty backroads of Northamptonshire. And Cup glues itself to VXs slipstream, has to break now and then not to glue itself to VXs bumper... So far I am quite pleased with my little Cup!:) Had a quick blatt yesterday against a serious looking Nissan Sunny GT-R, lowered, huge exhaust...

    I can now abuse it up and down the Northamptonshire roads! It is pretty hard core. Not that far off my "old" Integra. I have to get out there and figure out if the clutch is slipping, because it seems to rev high when changing gears at high rpm. Did I hear someone else say that a while back...

    Does anyone know what this "break problem" they supposedly have fixed is all about? I went in to my dealer today to ask what the delivery delay is, and was told that there was some kind of problem with the braking system with the Cups, but that it has been sorted now.
