Guys et gals,
Yep you are right!! When I put on 205 40 R17"s on the CUP, I miscalculated and knackered the gearing!!!
Sooooo, I need a 194 40 R17 for the CUP to keep the gearing the same. Someone on here must have gone up to that size to keep the gearing the same. My local tyre man says all...
Guys et Gals,
Ive just put some 17" Turinis on my CUP and over the past couple of weeks, I seem to have convinced myself that they have adversely affected performance to the point of it feeling slower but especially concerning in-gear flexibility. Now the rolling radius is correct a la 16"s so...
Guys et Gals,
I am upgrading the 16" speedline Turinis on my CUP to 17"s in white and the best bit about it is that they are lighter than the 16" ones as they are "flowformed", basically they come out of a mould and are then stretched to 17". Im getting them at the end of the month, so if...

Following on from Daipacs thread about getting rid of the 172 for a 106GTI to assist with with having a good life without having to watch every penny, I think this is an admirable way to go.
I have had friends who want the biggest, best, must-have thing and have no money to show at the end of...

Im seriously thinking about changing my 16" Speedline Turinis on the 172CUP for a 17" set in White.
Anyone got 17s on their 172 and what are the opinions? How do they affect handling???
Also what is the offset??? Do you think the offset is the same for the 172 as the 172CUP.
Cheers,
172CUP

Guys et Gals,
Another question....
on the CUP, when you change up over 5K revs, the rev-counter spins wildly up to the limiter. I let my mate drive it today and he races Elises and he agrees with me that it happened to him, no matter how quickly he lifted off the throttle on the change...

People picture this....
Last night, normal A road,, straight..... Stop the CUP and then launch off to test my theory on these tyres or that the CUP set up is scary.
No wheelspin after clutch drop, OK,,, then proceed in 1st to 6.5K before change with the steering wheel trying to do 90 degree...

So it has finally arrived!!!!! Where do I start??
Well after having drove a 172Sport demo car as my only new Clio experiece (had a Williams in 95), I can say that the demo car was not a good example.
Its pretty raw, I must say and thats from a current owner of a 280 bhp 01 WRX Impreza with...

After much strife of having the delivery date moved from start of September to the middle, then end and then to an unknown date in October, I rang round all the dealers I could get hold of and managed to get an unallocated one for the same discounted price and I pick it up on Friday!!!!.

Has anyone heard of any delays to the delivery of the Cup to dealers, or has anyone taken delivery???
Reason being that mine was supposed to arrive last Friday for PDI etc and now they do not know when it will arrive. Apparently the delays have been to a part the needs to be fitted in the UK...

Guys et Gals,
Due to the impending arrival of my new baby, the Clio that is,,,, I am going to sensibly improve the car from day one. So can anyone suggest re liberating more power what a sensible option is to get nearer 190 BHP and more importantly improve torque. My stainless steel exhaust...
