206 GTi (no, not the 180) off a big roundabout on the A217 (near kingswood) rolling start in second - I held back just a little to see if hed bite and he did, I floored it and he gave chase. Could he catch me? No he couldnt. Was I pulling away? Yes I was. Touching a shade under a ton when we...
Im back! :D
Was really looking forward to driving this, but was sadly disappointed :( the seats were uncomfortable, interior was nout to write home about, handling was OK, but nothing really ahead of the 1.6 ghia that I was in the other week.
Above all, it felt quite slow. I would happily...
Brand new Vectra - a car I despised until very recently indeed, even starting like the looks of them (well, the sporty ones anyway!)
Full leather interior, Air-con, heated seats all the gubbins and hooge 3.2 litre V6 under the bonnet. I tell ya, despite the size of the car it dont half shift...
Blimey! Having never driven a turbod motor before it was quite a shock, these things have amazing grunt when you boot it.
Dont really know how well the handling holds up but it felt pretty secure as all i got to really do was blat down a 3lane A-road, but it was fantastic for nipping between...
Saw a Vaux cav this morning, lowered with alloys, complete with 2.5 badge 24v badge from an omega - come on, whats that about??
Also Mondeo st24 (nice car) complete with stick on, wonky cosworth badge
FFS! Why badge up? - badging down is the way forward! RT badge on my valver? Why not...
I thought that the aston vantage was great, but theyre common as muck - ive seen 3 in the last 2 days. How many 16v clios have I seen? 2 in the last month!:)
Just goes to show that phoning round for insurance pays off. Re-quote from performance direct: £750, after phoning around Quote from
Adrian Flux: £579.
Good, no?
seems like everything is going wrong at the mo. Was driving along and went round a roundabout and the little orange light for the front brake sensor came on. Changed the front brake pads and the light is still coming on when i corner - more so going left that right (or the other way round -...

Anyone tried this? Good? Bad?
Im only looking at lowering the car about 30mm, as the standard shocks are pretty solid anyway I was looking at just getting some good quality springs. (I will probably buy new but standard shocks anyway - to be on the safe side)
Comments/suggestions gratefully...
Local garage quoted me (wait for it) £855 to fit a pukka renault steering rack. The steering rack costs £500 on its own. I know you can get cheaper ones (euro car parts - £175+VAT) and i also know that some can be repaired/refurbed/tightened up. I have a mechanic mate whos said hell look at...

Lets remember why were here......
I took the beast out for a spin last night - just for the hell of it for the first time in ages.
WOW
When you drive sensibly (nearly) all the time, you kinda forget how good these cars are. Theres some nice new roads near me that are pretty empty...
