I am getting an intermittent misfire whilst driving. Car will appear to be driving fine, but then all of a sudden will start misfiring, and I don't mean just running lumpy, it will lose the majority of power for say ten/twenty seconds, before seemingly snapping out of it and working fine...
So I removed the rear driver side pad carrier as usual to inspect the pads.
However I now can't get the bolt holes to line up to bolt it back on. The pad is flush against the back, and the piston is wounder in, but the holes just don't line up as can be seen below:
Any ideas?
So moved house roughly a month ago. Car is parked on road outside.
Friday morning come out to got to work to see this:
Someone decided to properly rip my mirror off (this is pavement side). Fair enough, very annoying but not expensive to get a replacement so I could deal with that.
However...
Thinking of getting this for the mother:
http://www.ebuyer.com/640810-asus-x200ma-touch-laptop-x200ma-ct099h
She literally only browses the internet and uses MS office. I'm really not clued up on PC's anymore, especially processors, any got any thoughts, will it do?
My 182 failed on emissions last MOT (2nd year in a row, I replaced the Lambda last year)
I think it might be because I didn't give it a blast before taking it last time, either that or I need a replacement cat :(
Getting my car ready for its retest which is tomorrow, Is there any way I can...
On my passenger headlight, the plastic casing on the inside that holds the bulbs is loose and swings up and down.
I've figured its probably to do with the headlight leveling motor (black box between the two rubber covers on back of headlight)
How do you remove this?
Looking at it, it looks like...
Just read on IGN Forza Horizon 2 has been announced, on Xbox one and 360, going to include weather and be based in Southern Europe.
Sounds interesting.

My car failed its MOT as a result of the passenger Xenon shining too high up. However would appear to be a problem with the self levelling motor thing.
If I remove one of the caps on the rear of the light, with my finger I can wobble the silver insert that holds the bulbs moves so the beams move...
My windscreen has got a crack, so need to get it replaced.
What's the best way to go about this?
I'm with Admiral so pretty sure I can get it done under insurance, for a £70 excess.
However I don't want it to effect my premium. I remember gally saying something about having to declare it, even...
As above, searched and getting conflicting reports on this.
I know the throttle body is different, is the plenum itself?
thinking of buying some matched inlets off a ph1, to go on my 182, will they fit?
Can anyone send me the Workshop Manual for non sport Clio's, if there is such a thing?!
(The MK2 PH2 1.2 8v, with Electronic Throttle I'm after)
I've got a Haynes manual but doesn't have what I'm after.
My steering wheel shakes horribly at 70mph + . Literally to the point its shaking my hands. Below that speed its fine.
Both track rod ends have been replaced, and doesn't appear to be any movement in the ball joints or wheel bearings.
I recently had two new front tyres and wheel alignment, and...
Am I right in thinking the metal case bit that covers the connectors on top of the ECU just pulls off?
I can't for the life of me get it off.
This bit:
On the Clio 1.2 8v, between the throttle body and the inlet there is a gasket.
Bit of a silly question, I've sourced a new gasket, do I need to use sealant as well?!
Similar to the one in this:
On the idle control valve (I think that's what this bit is called!?) from a D7F 1.2 8v engine, that is on the end of the throttle body housing.
As you can see from the photo, the adjustment screw looks like its got glue in it, I guess to stop people turning it.
If you look inside you can see...
When the car is idling in neutral, the revs bounce from 1000rpm to 2/2500rpm repeatedly. So it's going "vroom, back down, vroom, back down, vroom, back down" by itself.
Touching the accelerator does nothing. Doesn't increase revs or appear to work at all.
I've swapped the pedal assemply...
Plugged my mates 1.2 into my RSTuner, because he'd been having problems with the car losing all power and not being able to accelerate above 30 mph.
The three faults that look the suspect are the bottom three (why does only the ICV fault have a code?)
Am I right in thinking the Electronic...
I was the RB parked next to you today!
BG with cage, buckets, harnesses, 2118's etc. Looked like a proper track ****!
I hate not having a splitter atm!
What's the procedure/what do people use to clean their pipercross/ktec panel filters?
Do you have to use the specific filter cleaners from the likes of K&N etc?
My car failed on Emissions.
-Exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle excessive
-Exhaust emissions lambda reading after 2nd fast idle outside specified limits
It failed on CO Level on first test, and CO Level and Lambda reading on second.
Fast Idle test:
CO Level: 1.03%...
Just a heads up, they told me the law has now changed, don't know how strict others are on it though.
Clio failed its MOT today for among other things, having the Sabelt Steering Wheel.
Reason: (Sport steering wheel without substantial modification to track car) Drivers airbag missing [5.4.1]...
My Clio has been struggling to start recently, taking a few goes.
This morning however it won't start at all, the first attempt it tries to fire, then gradually dies to a click.
It is now making a rapid clicking when trying to start...
Did a search but couldn't see a thread. Renaultsport are doing their competition to win a 2013 calendar, like I've done the past couple of years.
You have to answer a question on how much Horse Power the new 200 Turbo has.

Had my Recaro's a while now, but recently got some Sabelt 3 point double release harnesses (with an extra buckle in the rear strap)
I've managed to fit them whilst retaining all the standard belts, so I can choose as and how I'm feeling, and if I want passengers in the rear I can just undo the...
My mate is having a problem with his Clio.
He's having problems with the throttle. He'll be driving along and then all of a sudden the accelerator pedal will stop working, and the car will just sit idling at 500 revs without touching the pedal, and he'll get no response from pushing the pedal...
