I am very peed off. Spent £550 for a recon box and fitted it all in to find it crunches from first to second. The place that did the box is also closed till wednesday. Now i gotta spend another day ripping it all out again.

My car has developed a slight crunch going from 2nd to 3rd gear. Its fine coming down a gear from 4th and if i change really slow. Ive change the gearbox oil which made it seem fine for a bit. The gearbox was a recon about 12k ago. Is it a worn syncro?

Ive read on here but there old threads that this car is common for wires to rub on the ecu cover causing this fault. If this is the case what is the best plan of action. Cheers

None of the above are working. Ive changed the bulbs and tested the wires and they are dead. HELP

Front brakes only just met the front brake imbalance requirements. It would appear that the braking system requires adjustment or repair. What would cause this as id like it sorted. The front pads have loads left on them and the disks am perfect

I changed my dephaser a couple of weeks ago as it was rattling its t**s off. But at about 2k revs i can here it rattling very feint. Also if i pull off at a junction without enough revs then the rattle is worse.

I can only describe it as an rapid misfire. Almost sounds like a machine gun lol which only happens under load. No fault code stored. Any suggestions

Got a clio 1.6 rxe on a T plate and when the engine is running, if you lift the dip stick out you can here what sounds like compression from the cylinders. Is this a sign of head gasket failure??

My mate has a mk 1 megane 1.6 16v and the engine is fubard. Would it be possible to put a 172 engine in it. If so what would be needed from the donor car. If it gonna be to much hassle then we will just drop another 1.6.16v in it
