Hi guys, how's every one doing? I've not been on for a while as the car just became abbit of a tool rather than a passion, but whilst I've been gone I see my car has been spotted many times!! I've got an RB and live in Pulborough. Would be great to meet up with a few of you this year!!

bump* so after a new front lambda sensor and a bottle of pre mot emissions cleaner (thanks dunn) i have a lovley new mot with no adviseries!! whoop

ramp it is then, yes mate really bad co max 0.30% mine 7.52% hc max 200ppm mine 477 lambda 0.97-1.03 mine 0.79

bump had my car plugged in today and had the fault.....front o2 sensor come up so after a quick call and £67 later i should have a new one tomorrow :approve: only problem is tho, i cant see from above where its got to go?? is it going to be easyer on a ramp?

ok cool il start with that then, doesnt the 182 have two senors? if so how do i know which one i might need to replace?

oh well such is life ! proberly a darft question but are the lambda senor or cat proberly the cause for an emissions fail? i really want to get it right 1st/2nd time

had a look on flea bay and the lambda was £61 and the cat £100 sound about right? i dont want to get ripped off!

As the title says really, the test failed on emissons the tester said they were extremly bad!! so ive been told it could be lambda senors or the cat. i was then told that if it was the senor then the car would be running lumpy, which it doesnt, and then told if its the cat then it would smell...

ok... is this an easy but costly job? i was thinking about getting the cam belt changed, so could it be done at the same time as its in the same area? thanks for the info guys!!

ive had this problem on my 182cup for a while now but nobody seems to know for sure what the nosie could be, ive been told it could be a heat shield ratterling or a stuck lifter? ive just read through some old posts but mine doesnt make a nosie when its just ticking over unlike some of the other...
