Hi bud. ive recently purchased a ph1 172 and had the same issue, turned out that the 'dogbone' mount was loose! a quick tighten of the bolts and it was sorted! there was also a knocking when turning left, that turned out to be the top engine mount (on the left of the engine) it had moved over so...

To be honest its just the rear lights i wanted to change as i prefer the newer facelift rear lights! not major though!
