have a look and see if the belt has moved? mine was due to the bottom bolt on the alt missing! if you take the driver headlight out you can move the tensioner to take the belt of and check everything. it may be you just need to tighten the Alt up on the bracket.

turned out the bottom Alternator bolt was missing and the top one had snapped! new Alternator and all should be fine. Thanks for all your help.

Just over a year ago the aux was done (previous owner) going to do it this weekend to be sure

It sounds like that, however i used her for a good run and i don't think it rained last night? or that any water would have got in before this morning? also on the 20 min drive to work this morning I would have thought it would have dried out if it was water on the belt?

Hi there, I have a 172 and have been given a mint pair of Subaru Impreza (Recaro) seats. however I have no subframe mounts, any help or advise on how to get these in? they are a LOT better than the seats currently in there. Thanks, ​Stu
