Newly into Tier 3 so finding jobs to do. I can’t believe I’ve not done the Trophy before.
Whipped the wiper arms off then stripped the top covers. Removed the little tray on the drivers side, the rubber wiper spindle covers and set to with the hoover and a long handled paintbrush.
Plenty of...
I moved my 182 cup on last year and thinking of slimming down a bit more so I’m left with the AG 200, mint with 29k miles and full history, perfect paint, interior and engine bay , full factory options or the 182 Trophy perfect paint, perfect wheels, interior and engine bay 70k Miles, loads of...
I got a call from Greenlight Insurance on Tuesday leaving me a message to say my current insurer won’t renew my policy because the car is not MOT’d. It’s for my Clio 182 Trophy which has been SORN’d for the last couple of years.
It seems strange, I would have thought they would welcome the...
New MOT rules coming into force in May will make it a major fail if HIDs are fitted into headlamps. Also the engine management light will be part of the MOT, if it’s lit it will be a major fail...
Just shows you, the saying “you learn something new every day” still applies even at my age
After battling numerous times to get the wheel centre caps on my Cup wheels i actually took the time today to look on the back of the caps. Before my eyes I saw a little emblem of a tyre valve...
This may have been covered before but though I would share
Having had the scary experience of seeing smoke rising out of the alternator (subject of another thread) I set to on replacing it. I thought I would post a few lines on what I think is the best way of removing the unit. It does involve...
I reversed the car out of the garage this aft to give it a little run round the block, it’s not been out for a few weeks.
It started ok and I left it ticking over for 5 mins then turned it off.
I went back to it half an hour later and when I turned the key, nothing ! No dash lights...
They are competitive on price anyway but doing 4 for price of 3 til Monday. I’ve just ordered a set of 215/40 17s for my lads Polo GT for £178.
Now I know they may not be up to Yoko standard but he doesn’t thrash about, drives 45 miles a day on motorway to work. He has Dunlop sport maxx on at...
I set to today with Mrs A’s sewing machine. After much faffing I made a pair of pre tensioner covers for the Trendlines in my Cup. Fortunately I was able to use my Trophy ones as a pattern. Still 3 hours work though!
I’m pleased with the finished prototype though.

As some of you will know I have 3 really nice examples but apart from a couple of trips out I've used none of them this year....or last year.....or the year before to any degree. I also have my Elise which I last used in March along with some other 2 wheeled stuff which similarly hasn't been...
I'm trying to help a lad out who's fitting some megane trendlines in his Clio . He's bought a pair of these adapters but can't make sense of them. I think he's probably got the wrong ones and needs the higher C shaped ones which bolt to the bottom of the recaro.
Can anyone shed any light
I know there are various threads on this but I can't understand why I have the fault
I fitted a retrimmed snappy wheel so all I did was take the old wheel off and put the snappy wheel on.
I can only presume something in the sensor position unit the wheel bolts onto has moved but there seems...
I fitted these today. I'm not sure whether I like them or not, going to give them a chance and if not they will be back up for sale !

I'm looking at a set of Speedline 2118s. 15s for my 182 Cup. Obviously fitting the same width and aspect ratio as the tyre on the standard 16s (195/45) is going to throw my speedo out. To get the right rolling diameter I think 195/50 x15 put me somewhere near, using some calculations I reckon...
I picked up a couple of mint trendlines and had Snappy sort my wheel. Got them into the Cup yesterday. Very pleased with the result

I'm looking at buying a pair of Megane trendlines to put in my 182 Cup. They are the ones with the black bolsters and blue alcantara base and back. The seats come with the Clio frames and runners. The only thing they don't appear to have is the little pre tensioner pocket type covers but looking...
I'm sending a 182 cup wheel off to snappy for a trim. I'm a bit limited for ideas given the cup wheel has no thumb pads. It is in sort if 4 segments around the rim though.
I don't like alcantara/suede so not bothered about that. I quite like the perforated look. I wondered what it might look...

I've done a search for this and can't find anything. I've just got a cup steering wheel of a guy, the base version with no thumb pads.
Now I'm going to send it off to snappy, my only concern is spending the money and when I fit it the cruise buttons are faulty or something.
Does anyone know if...
I keep dipping my toe in the V6 water but I fear I am possibly a couple of years late to the party. Cars which have been sitting in ads for ages at £30k could have been had back then for less than £20k. Tom at Divine even has one at nearly £60k !!!
There seems to be very little moving in the...
I love the standard anthracites I've got on the car but fancy a set of something else to put some tyres on and swap over now and again. I know there's the usual choice of turinis but what else would you go for. No outrageous colours please. The car is on standard height suspension so something...
I've posted a couple of threads with the product of my efforts on the Cup I bought a couple of months ago. I've done all the paint correction stuff and finished the bodywork after having a new bonnet fitted and sprayed due to the usual leading edge rust. Had the front end painted and re striped...
