1.4 8v to 1.4 16v conversion

  Clio 1.4, SV650S

Mk2 Ph1 1.48v clio. wouldnt mind the extra 25bhp that the 16valves gives...

Does anyone know if the block is the same and just needs a new head/ecu etc?

or any info on a conversion?

Think it would be more worth your while actually doing a full conversion with a bigger engine than just to get an extra 16v by trying to swap the head and ecu and stuff!

I dont know for sure, but its probably a whole new engine. The 1.4 8v will have been carried over form the mk1. Id imagine they made a completely new engine when they made it 16v. May as well drop in at least the 1.6, if not the 2.0.
